lol 3 teams fighting for one(5th) spot, thats all it comes down too...
if me or BHB gets a few key injuries, then things can get really interesting in the Great 8.

6th or 7th in the great 8 is not so nice cos, zazz and datzilla have been saving up heaps of money all season.

odom traded to mavs for next to nothing.
david west to pacers for 20mil 2/yrs.
grant hill resgined with the suns for 6.5mil 1/yr (dam hes a top player and all but thats a lot of money for a 39 year old).
tyson chandler to the knicks for 54 mil and 4/yrs.

cp3 and dwight will be going somewhere...
imagine the lakers gave the magics bynum and some future picks and some cash for dwight

pg billups/baron davis/arenas (all off the waiver list)
sg kobe
sf metta world peace
pf gasol
c dwight howard

reserve : fisher, blake, walton, caracter, ebanks.

Yes those are the facts. Anyone can see that the Knights and Seagulls have a lock on the 8th spots. What isn't so sure is who are the other two that are going down. However everyone needs to face these facts (this is assuming no crazy run of bad luck like I had two seasons ago when I lost three of my five starters to injuries.)

1) Big 8 Facts - it obviously wont be BLS, Supercats, Bogans or Wombats. As soon as Monkey Biz finishes cupping he will start kicking league butt. That leaves Zazz and DFBS.

2) Great 8 Facts. It wont be WA, WB, Koop or BHB. Pancakes actually has an incredible roster but was held back because he was trying to train a lot of young guys. He is selling Langlands now and will probably kicking butt for the rest of the season. That leaves Hadders and HA.

3) So two of Zazz, DFBS, HA and Hadders are going down. Who is hard to tell without knowing how hard they are willing to fight and what sacrifices they are willing to make. They may need to put everything on the line to survive and something tells me that at least one of those teams will not be willing to do that while we all know that HA likes to go "all in".

Can you smell what Sid is cooking?

Can I fill the forums with useless spam and mention two other odd things?

After my sales I have randonly ended up with an almost all Aussie Team. It wasn't planned but all my three trainees are Aussie, my last trainee was Aussie and one of my last two original trainees was an Aussie. That leaves only Vallo who had been with me since season 10 and isn't going anywhere ever as my only foreigner.

Even more odd has anyone had a look at Koop's roster? If more full of young men looking for something to do than a St Kilda toliet on a Saturday night. Why is he collecting so many young guys? He has 13 18 year olds mostly with high potential as well as his two real trainees 20 year old Hare and Scrimgeour. It seems a little sinister to me.

"You want to get on the court young man? Then come up to the Koopasaur's office and we will see if you can do anything to persuade me."

Creepy!

Got me curious as to who you think may not roll the dice

Zazz certainly has some cash to splash. 3.6 mill in net sales since joining the ABBL plus a mill in promotion money, plus another 3 mill plus in savings come the end of the season.

By my reckoning she will have about $8 mill to splash just before the finals

I see no proble with stern waiving the clippers trade...

clippers are major tight wards

they were offering aminu, bledsoe, kaman (expiring contract), a protected first round for Paul and when hornet asked for gordon to be included, they canceled...

a couple of non exciting prospect + a first round for paul, much worse than the 3 team deals.

dont like the vince carter signing when they already have beaubois and terry at the 2 spot, they need a backup general and a center.

is it possible to sign nene or some other big centers in the league?

why would you say that?
you are only 2 wins in front clear of pancakes for 5th and only 3 wins away BHB for the PO spot...

with 10 games left anything can happen, and if you play your cards right, you can pull it off.

Well it was a great smashing of DFBS without Duff Duff. The trouble is it doesn't matter how many regular season games they lose as long as he is back in good shape for the playoffs except for one thing. This injury will probably cost them any chance they had of HCA for the playoffs so maybe they are a little vulnerable.

In my news, I just lost by 7 to BLS in a game where neither of us tried. Would have been funny if I had won. It is funny that I am on 0 wins yet have had three games decided by single figuers. Hopefully all my close losses will be used up this season.

Moment of realisation

Pancakes have money

Zazz has vaults fill of money

Fatboy has Duffman

Hadders team is performing way above what is to be expected with the players salaries

HA has an underperforming team & Manager

Grand sale has started - Buy up before the price rises of the All Stars week

Actually the allstar week saw a price drop last season, it was one of the best weeks to buy. Perhaps those of us with many million in the bank can do a little shopping for a bargain.

On the other hand HA is far from sunk. If Duffman gets injured again DFBS can basically kiss their season goodbye and you will survive.

And those prices? Lets see some real sales, they are reasonable but far from bargains.
