i didnt think it was that important, however i think hippo regards it highly.

do you know what it reflects? eg. salary? or skill points in relation to age?

It's heavily influenced by training and game shape.

In the past, proficient game shape DMI was a good indicator on what salary that trainee would have next season ie. 600000 DMI = 60k salary.

Though the salary formula has changed slightly, it's a pretty decent indicator. Also useful towards the end of the season to see how your opponents trainees have come along, as a 25k salary may actually be 50k next season..

So yeah, DMI is rubbish.

Otherwise people should run away from Tau and McArthur when they have proficient GS, 1,500,000 DMI and 1,300,000 DMI lol.

Salaries are good at hiding skillsets too.

Dell'Asta can guard any PG/SG/SF in division III and II, but his 80k PF salary hides that.

but now near the tail end of the season i might pay attention to see how some of the young blokes come along

Just been training my guards so hanging close to the relegation spot where I want to be. Have a few surprise purchases planne towards the end if the season :)

You have a keen eye bains, unfortunately not the kind of money I would like.. Danak was much too expensive for what he offered my team and as a result didn't get me the money I was hoping for combined with an income for the first 2 weeks of -3k and 10k I am a long way money wise from where I need to be. Having said that I have time, my team is still solid enough to take out 1st or lowest second in the red so I don't need to make any crazy changes.

Will put it to you all though that the hunger burns after coming runner-up to the Dons last season and I will be pushing for promotion this time round, no training or rebuilding phases this season! :)

what did you mean by this? got a bit confused there.

i suppose lucky for you BH and MM dont seem to be doing much but sitting on their laurels happy sitting 2nd and 3rd on red side. if you go through to the finals which i suspect you will, you will probs carry the enthusiasm through seeing as at this point the person meeting you will have to beat 2 good teams to get there

DMI changes when a player pops as well doesnt it? i remember at some point last season, Chan had a DMI of 250K+, now it is 110 after he popped... also atoy was at 50-60k at 1 point this season, and is now 29k.

one of the mistakes i made when i started was signing a guy cause he had high DMI, only for him to pop and that to drop in the ass :D
