SmeltzTroopers wont go to division II instead one division II will get an extra division III promoter, whichever one wins the bot promotion.

how would you go about training him? Id be tempted to train him as a PF/C and then after a few seasons, migrate him to SF.

I would sell him for 50k or whatever and spend my div 2 dollars on a real trainee.

I'm not even sure what direction I'm heading just yet. Just thought it was odd to pick up a player with that potential as the last pick in the draft. I don't spend money on it, so it was a complete fluke. He's no potential rookie of the year candidate but still not bad considering.
