I use a mac laptop regularly, we have some 5-6 windows machines which buzzerbeater owns.. mark and charles both have at least two machines... i occasionally use several PCs in my lab to access buzzerbeater, both mac and PC, running mostly IE and firefox.. and I have never been able to reproduce this phenomenon.

I don't know whether that means it is a rare problem, or a widespread one that we simply cannot reproduce...
perhaps is a problem related to time zone, connectivity, or some other variable which is different on your computer, and all the other computers which are experiencing this problem.

This load dependency makes me think that it might be a problem with respect to connectivity, and that the problem is in the internet connection between our servers and your location. This would be an awful problem however, because in order to address it we would most likely have to relocate our server farm, which would be a massive project resulting in significant downtime for the site.

Not sure if this helps but I always connect to Buzzerbeater via FF and never had this problem. I am temporarily using a computer that only has IE and this problem has cropped up. I get logged out about 3-4 times for every 30ish minutes though sometimes it will go longer without a log out. Seems quite random.

I know you cant reproduce the problem, but just wanted to report that it is quite bad again...

I wish we had a good answer for you... its so hard for us to be able to really sit down and figure it out because we cannot reproduce the problem... ideally we would be able to reproduce the phenomenon on a testing platform so we could try all sorts of things... of course many of the things we would try would probably end up breaking the site, so we are hesitant to try them live.... this is slowing progress on this issue... i know its frustrating.. we are frustrated.. i'm sorry.. i will keep thinking about it.

try changing your time zone settings to EST and see how that affects things... i know its not a solution, but humor me.

i might have found the reason why this logging out happens. it seems to be that it could be because i open several tabs in my browser window at once.

I will keep testing this the coming days and let you know what i find out...

that did happen to me too a couple of times, when I opened some 10-15 tabs on players or teams in quick succession, I'd get logged out

there is one interessting thing: I never get logged out during the time I watch a match. never. but if i sit down and do nothing, i get kicked out after 5 minutes. its like the sreensaver function on my pc.
and as long as i search a player or look some details about other teams, every thing is ok. but if i need more tan 5 minutes for a post, the side kicks me out...
i use firefox

More than likely its something to do with the settings on your computer or settings in firefox. I use firefox and I have never experienced this issue. However, I use Safari on my iPhone, and that logs me out after 5 or 10 minutes of no activity. I think it is something to do with the browser, not sure how to fix it though. Could try uninstalling and reinstalling firefox?

It's not about the browser for sure.

like the other guy wrote in the post just above yours, it seems to happen when you are looking at several succesive pages in a row. last night and today i am browsing the transfer lists and am looking at free agents, their teams etc.

I am not kidding when I am saying I get logged out atleast every minute.

I hope this info will help and that you can reproduce this problem. I think in 3 hours time I have relogged about 150 times... there is no point saying this is off course totally unacceptable, but I do hope and pray to god that one day you will find a solution for this problem.

could you do me a favour pls and try and browse the TL like a crazy addicted BB person like I am. :)

I think i might have info that relates to this problem.

Last night and today I have been browsing the TL and get logged out every minute. I am not kidding you.

What I am doing is requesting (too) much data and you could try and reproduce this.

I open a search in TL and click on a player when he is a free agent. than I click on the last game played and than I click on and check all the players I suggest to be a free agent too, bookmark interesting players and than go back back back to the TL. I am quite certain that browsing so many pages in such a short time causes these log out problems. I hope you can reproduce this.

ps I am using IE.
