For what it's worth, I'm happy about the change. I think it's long overdue for top teams to have to start making hard personnel choices based on rising salaries. Lower division teams have had to deal with this for a long time, and it adds a lot to the game. This move is very good, especially because every other economic change for the last few season has moved things in the other direction, increasing revenues and cutting costs disproportionately for top teams.

I was only upset about the shock to the market, which is going to be bad, but I guess there's not much you can do about that beyond the news.

After 1 season in dII - Scrapheap saw salaries rise from 279 to 385k/wk. Center jumped nearly 25k to 98k with only 1 bump in training. PG jumped nearly 30k to 66k. I hope tv revenue increases so I can break even and build a few seats to help pay for the costs or I have to sell someone. I knew I would see some general increases, but Wow. Also - I thought there was going to be a significant reward for having mostly American players. I hope to see that happen.

BTW - glad to see Giants back in NBBA. He just didn't fit in with us low-life's in DII.

Indeed. It would be nice if they would announce big changes to the salary function ahead of time. Make deciding when to buy less of a guessing game.

Not sure if that was sarcastic, but...

Due to changes in training patterns, it looks like the salary scale will be somewhat higher next season than it is this season. We expect the salaries to be around 10-15% higher at the top end

The problem is, as far as I've been able to tell, the top end increased by about 50%. Our top salaried NT players that were in line to make 250k or so are now at 330k.

edit: this may not be quite right. Factoring in the previous increase, the new one looks like 18-20% on top players.

I was curious about depth, esp the Bulls', so here's every team's payroll, individually sorted. So, the 3rd column shows how much everyone pays their 3rd highest-paid player.
