Team training is only available for certain skills though.

My guy 41k salary
C J. Castañé 43 8 - 14 2 - 3 2 - 2 4 18 4 1 2 0 0 20 10.5
His guy 60k salary
C G. Dukats 33 0 - 1 0 - 0 0 - 0 2 18 1 3 0 0 6 0 10.5

That's 20 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks for my guy and
0 points, 18 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 0 blocks and 6 fouls for his guy.
In the case of the PF, my SF who played against him has horrific rebounding (less than 6) so he got outrebounded 17-9, but while the other PF had a better game I don't think I would say he dominated. But the question was about center and in the case of the centers, my guy dominated for sure.
Anyway, I just wanted to test out what that other guy said and I am satisfied that a well-rounded SF can hold his own against a position specific Center in run and gun.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

wont it be much simpler if you just do 1 position training and get 3 great guard trainees with average/respectable Reb instead of random trainees and in a few season times brush up on the rebounding then.

seriously balanced skills may be good but primaries are still primaries. theres a reason why they are call primaries. sure if you have a whole team of good rebounders but if your bigs are getting outmatched by alot which is the main factor and your guards end up being worst than the other team due to this weird plan... ultimately you will still get creamed.

dont get me wrong, I got whole team of rebounders in my starters and the lowest being respectable. you still need your C/PF to grab those boards.

Wow, you've put a lot of work into that spreadsheet. It looks really nice and is a nice way of keeping the data. People will also appreciate your track of training progress I think since it might give us some facts to add to the training speed thread in global.

Are you sure you can keep up with posting all these match stats as well though? That's a lot of work for something that's also being archived inside the game.

Also, you might not want to base the position of your PG/SG/SF on your formula. For trainingpurposes it might be an interesting formula but it tells you nothing about which player performs best at which spot. And since those 3 positions don't matter for your training it's best to fill them in based on general game knowledge.

In your spreadsheet I noticed that your line-up is also based on your "value to team" formula. For trainingpurpose you could use this formula (to decide which players play C and PF). But for the rest of your line-up it doesn't make much sense.

For example take Team A:

Dylan is now your SG, but his low JR and higher ID make him more suitable as an SF, and Castelmoto as an SG or PG. For your training this switch won't matter but it might get you better results.

So I would suggest that you don't let your formula decide which players play PG/SG/SF but instead decide on a game to game basis where these 3 belong.

p.s. You can still let the formula decide which players make team A, B or C of course.
p.p.s. It's just a suggestion, I'll be interested in your training results either way.

I like the idea, although it wouldn't work for me personally.

Wish you good luck and hope you have fun doing it!!!

This sounds like something i was doing last year, that i may start doing again this season. I think this is a good idea to have a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds as trainees. I think i'll try this again myself. Because players 24 and over don't improve much, at least not from my experience. But 18 and 19 years olds as the manual says improves a lot, especially if you have a good trainer. So i hope this works out for you, what you're planning on doing, it sounds great.

ok i didnt log last week since the team roster wasnt completely set
i trained rebounding, two position training
six players got their 48 mins
4 popped

im starting to wonder how blown out of proportion the height effecting training may be?
sure if u want some world class best pg in the game type of player it probably wouldnt happen if he is 6'10"
but on a basis of rounding out a player to be better for your team the training dont seem that bad so far (i know tiny sample size so far)
but most people seem too afraid to train rebounding on a guard thinking its gonna take too long

well 4 of 6 players popped lol 5'10" through 6'4"

just figured id give some small update so far
first game is in 10 hrs 20 mins and i will update the spreadsheet soon following with stats etc and get this ball rolling
thanks for the support and suggestions guys
