to my trainees i give constant 48 minutes, and they all stay 9 a lot. If my main guy wasn't injured, he would have had 9 all season long

Very interesting! Another issue though, is that GS has degree of randomness in it and to study the sweet spot, it'll take quite a lot of time.

Just had a player that didn't play a single minute all season increase in game shape...
& another that played 58 minutes fall close to 2 levels of GS? (DMI was cut in half, despite receiving full training & a skill pop)

you should also pmention in which area it was ;)

i am quite sure it was in the pitiful/awful area with the up, and there is the equilibrium for not playing and it is still a random process.

I agree. Our federation did an exhaustive study of every player on half a dozen teams for an entire season and we noticed some players do like more minutes than others. Do you remember this famous quote from BB-Charles, "Players do have a hidden personality that you will discover as they play, and a part of this is that some players prefer more physical play than others. "

There has been endless speculation about the hidden physical play part but little about the other parts. I wonder if each players sweet spot for minutes is also part of their hidden personality.
