1. These guys love basketball, the players, the tactics and the history;
2. These guys, in true Aussie spirit, through their playful banter, demonstrate the enjoyment of being a part of the BB community;
3. Lastly, the serious and not-so-serious competitiveness helps to drive our BB experience.
Matty hits the nail hard on the head here.
In all online games, if you don't get yourself involved in the community, it's a really really lonely experience and like most single player games, you get over it and move on once you're bored.
The beauty of MMORPGs and games like Buzzerbeater is that, whilst the game may be really good and addictive, what keeps you going is the community. I have met a lot of great people in Buzzerbeater and it's really weird, but spending an hour after your simulated game finishes just to chat to some random on the internet is quite... interesting, since we all share the same passions and want to help each improve in the game.
So I'd say get yourself out there in the BB Australia community! Get supporter, join a private league, get active in the forums and meet other managers. It makes the ride way more fun..
