After going on a 28-16 run, and establishing a 13 point lead. Otherland Champions, on the road. gave up a 5-0 run, committing 3 fouls, scorered. then gave up another 5-0 run with 2 fouls, before calling a timeout.

Now with a 5 point lead, at 79-74, and the Indy Super Saints 1 foul away from the bonus.... otherland choked. Choking away the game in the final minutes. As is their MO on the road. This marks their 3rd road loss this season, in the final minute of a game. and the 2nd in which they lead by dbl digits in the 4th quarter.

Bright spots for Otherland, Julio Falcao in his return had 27 points and shot 10-23 and was 7-9 on 3 pointers before hawking up prayers. he finished 7-15 from downtown. Falcao also contributing 6 rebounds, 4 offensive, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and only 3 of Otherland's 20 turnovers. Quilgey, playing SF for the first time all season, connected on 4-8 shots from beyond the arc, typically an inside guy, this was a bonus. But it wasn't enough. Quigley ended the day with 24 points on 9-21 shooting, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 turnovers. Belkhaus was solid until the 4th quarter. where he missed all 7 FGs he attempted, and only contributed 1 rebound. He ended the day with 12 points on 4-13 shooting, with 9 rebounds, 1 assists, 3 turnovers, 2 steals, and 4 blocks. Paul Salas battled foul trouble with the tough match-up all game, but ended with 9 pts, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 turnovers, and 2 steals.

Player of the game goes to Danny Cherry of the Indy Super Saints, whom in the 4th quarter, shot 8-9 from the floor, hitting 3 3s. 2-5 from the FT line, and added 4 of his game high 8 steals. Between Cherry stepping up, and Belkhaus sitting down. Otherland lost this nail-biter, that was still a 1 possession game with less than 30 seconds to go at one point. Certainly Coach Valmont feels this one. Otherland clearly put in more effort, and wanted this one more.

Robust with a friendly Scrimage in Otherland today. Otherland's mood, and enthusiasm a bit down, after the disappointing road loss, where they gave it every thing they had Crunch time to the Indy Super Saints. In scrimmage Otherland pulled out a comeback win in the final minute winning 98-93, when they trailed 84-83.

Paul Salas player of the game: 13-25 shooting (1-1 on 3s) 3-4 at FT line, 16 nrebounds (9 offensively) 3 assists, 3 turnovers, 6 steals, 3 blocks. Salas, mayhaps a bit upset at fouling out in the Indy Super Saints game, and that his subpar offensive performance were both leading contributors to the loss. His stellar defense this week has definately been a contributor to the Otherland 2-1 week. Notables include Belkhaus who followed last games performance with a 17pt performance going 6-6 and 5-6 at the line, with 9 rebounds, 2 assists 1 turnover and 2 steals.Falcao Kiser and Chung Hui combined to shoot 12-50 from the floor and 3-6 at the free throw line. This game was clearly carried by Belkhaus and Salas.

next game 3/17 vs the Kansas Jayhawks. a tough 4 seed match-up, lucky for Otherland, who hasn't figured out how to win on the road yet, Its a Home game!

Kansas Jayhawks, running the same offense and defense as the Indy Super Saints, albeit with not as talented inside players, and less threatening perimeter players. He runs a lot of players at positions weirdly. playing a 6'1 guy as PFs backup, etc. Where I don't think TIE will cut it, I feel normal + it being home court, should do the job. He also doesn't play some of the higher salary guys a lot of minutes, and shares time with the younger guys. His guards don't commit a lot of turnovers though.
