i need to vote two things here, cause indeed it is stupid but it also an awesome element to an game ;)

hattrick is the most popular game of this type in the world & their training is mindlessly train the same skill forever

a ton of fun right?

this game has a basic good idea with their training & just a few extra options would make things a million times better

just imagine they introduced the following training types

passing for forwards (= 2 pos passing for PG/SG)
post plays for guards (= 2 pos IS for C/PF)
full court press for front court (= 2 pos pressure training for PG/SG but applies to C/PF)

none of them are optimal so if u want perfect 1 pos training u still have to play ur C as a PG but at least it would be possible to train ur C slowly while playing in a somewhat sensible position

did every good passing C in the NBA really have to spend a season or 2 playing PG?

i have also always said it is stupid that PG, SG & C get a 1 pos training but forwards dont so there should be something 1 pos for them like maybe ID should be 1 pos at PF & OD should be 1 pos at SF not certain about any of there just examples

Even though I disagree with you on a lot of things, I really like this post. You make sense.

That being said, I'm still gonna flame you...

Nah, just kidding. That's childish. Anyway, yes, you're right, it fits the context. However, why could it not fit the context to allow Cs to train passing while playing their natural position, albeit at a slower rate? What would be wrong with that? How would it ruin the game experience? You would still have to focus on which strategy to choose to beat your opponent. You would still have to miss out on training other players. You would still have to manage your minutes. You would still have to manage your economy. You would still have to.... you get where I'm going.

...and that's not entering the 48+min dilemma.

So because size, wingspan, height and stuff is translated into other skills which are not named size, wingspan, height and stuff and you cannot "read it" on paper makes it a sily game?

And because positions are named PG, SG, SF, PF, C you are not able to field 2 Gs 3Fs or 4Gs and 1C?

I don´t think it´s the game which limits you if you think like that.

There´s no "red light" flashing when you field 5 SGs. You´re barking a tree which isn´t even there.
