well yeah I didn't expect a tie in the final 16 ;) Combined with a wrong GDP (I specifically didn't to use a fast offense because I used it a lot in the past, and our guard GS could have indicated outside offense...), but you crushed us big time, to be honest I didn't expected such a blowout, even at home and with 7-8 enth against 14-15.
Good luck for the rest of the playoffs!

It's a bit of a mixed bag. There are maybe 3-4 really NT worthy players (Jarvis, King, Burimenko) in terms of being able to compete at least to make the worlds repechage, then there are maybe 3-4 players that fall just a bit short and need a tiny bit of work (Cockayne, Almada, Pietschmann, Colesby), 3-4 players that are at their peak and would be awesome backups but end up being starters (Rouillard, Phil Russel Jones, Bevan, Aaron).
In itself it's enough to hussle its way into the semis of the America's championship, but not enough to compete afterwards... And for the consolation tournament luck is a big part of the equation (we lost hosting the America's championship for 1 single point in the first stage if you think about it...!).

The good news is that there are young players on the way. If you look at Cockayne, that will be our starting C for probably the next 7 seasons, and he's already the strongest C I had in my terms as NT coach. Robbie Rob is on his way to be the starting PF after Burimenko retires, Almada and Colesby will replace Madiar and Jarvis/King, and there's another bunch of players not on the roster right now but who will certainly get a spot in the near future. Avila comes to mind, Isaac Lucky as well, Stephen Hall... I need to update the depth chart but all of them are between 24 and 28yo.

HCA next season could have given us the edge and maybe a chance of making it to the finals for a direct qualification to the worlds with a really young team.

Now it's up to the future NT coach, I think personally I'd wait two more seasons, repeat the same plan as during this term (throw away America's, go as far as possible in the consolation tournament), and try to make the worlds when all this new generation reaches 30, but I don't think I can get elected with that kind of plan after it failed miserably this time around ^^

No I wasn't expecting to win with the same effort, I knew it took some mismatches, but I thought the wrong gdp + lower effort would at least compensate a bit for hca and better enthusiasm. Our players didn't exist yesterday, look at Burimenko or Jarvis, those two truely are the best we have and they had strong GS and they where totally dominated, I've never seen that!
I couldn't really use CT two times in a row in case Chile beat Portugal, but even with that we would have lost by what, 15points?! Had I not played CT last week maybe it would have been a bit closer (but I have doubts now!), but I didn't expect Slovenia to only play normal...
Anyway good luck for the remainder of the playoffs, now I know that in the consolation tournament you also need hca for the second stage ;)

Well this time I'm sure you'll manage to find the extra vote ;)
And you're lucky I already did about half of the scouting for next season :P

And I'm genuinely curious to see what somebody else can do with the same team, that would be a good learning experience, at least if we have the same objectives (go nowhere first season / as far as possible in consolation to win HCA in the America's championship. But to be honest the only thing I could have done differently this season was playing normal (or even TIE) against Slovenia to save enth but even with that I don't think we had any chance against Germany on the road, even with the wrong GDP

If I would mad a better job ? I don´t think so. Sometimes you have games you can´t win, or you win 1 out of 100. And this one you win just if your opponent make a mistake. I know the German skills, and I guess you had no chance to win it.

For now, I am Manager of the Indian NT and I am really disappointed with the growth of the players .... there is simply non. So I have to think about the next step. But i tend to leave and search a new team. Is there a possible candidate in Canada to manage the NT ? And why you are stepping back ? You have 100% approval from your community. That is not the worst number
