Could be that. Or it could be that a lot of people have been saving for a long time and now they're cashed up.

Or maybe more and more players are figuring out the salary efficiency concept.

13 mill in sales plus another 3 or 4 mill in profits next season and most likely the number 1 draft pick.

If the market crashes you will have emulated what Bryce did all those seasons ago and like him you just might have the funds to win several championships.


Bit sad that I didnt get KP as I thought that him and Williams working together would have not only guaranteed me promotion next season but also a very real chance of winning the Cup from Div 2

I woulda picked him up if he went for around $3m - him and Wayne would make an nice pairing. $5m was too much for me for a 200K big man though!

I thought I might have got him for around the 3.4 mill and I bid a mill over that figure and still couldnt get him

5 mill was just a bit too rich.

He would have slotted in alright training wise for me as I would have given him some more OD and even more passing.


I didnt think of him as a 200K player.

I was thinking of him as a 160 K a week player after the extra merch

Just to throw something else into the Big 8 demotion discussion, i might tank as well. With my aging team and not enough money to buy anyone in the current economy, i might just buy a trainee or 2.
