Just an incredible writeup, Harp. It might be fun to see predictions by some others, but maybe we're intimidated by your concise informative contribution. It looks like this title may turn out to be one of the more hotly contested of late.

I was expecting my Predictions to drum up more conversations, but since it didn't, let's try useless Trivia! (ok maybe I have too much time on my hands)

I've listed the max bbstats for each of the 8 playoffs teams and sorted them and it is everyone else's job to predict which team put up which bbstat. (Not sure if everyone knows, but bbstats is calculated by adding up all the team ratings with each sublevel being 1 point higher than the previous sublevel. Example: atrocious(low) is worth 1, atrocious(high) is worth 3)

145 - DC
144 - TF
142 - Jests
141 - Dragons
139 - 10inch
136 - Riverdogs
135 - Walker
131 - Machines

Feel free to post your best guesses here. You can cheat if you want but that's no fun. I'll post the answers on Tuesday once the playoff games start.

Edit: I've added the teams in.. Really surprised to see Machines at the bottom of the list, but the rest make sense, especially with the way that playing LI inflates team ratings.

My heart just isn't in it to care about the playoffs or relegation. I'll just stick with my original prediction from the beginning of the season.. D.C. vs N.Y.

I'm still licking my cup wounds. I basically agree with all your predictions but will try to add some creative content over the next two days.

Well, you did a great job with the write up, but I think you missed a coupe points involving my game. First, I love my defense. I think my defense has been under-rated all season. Dog's "excellent all around defensive team" gave up a grand total of 9 fewer points the entire season.... It also made perfect sense to tank the final to match up with me. Fuso is injured and I have no clue if he will make it back for the game. Going into the final game of the season, he knew he was going on the road in the playoffs. He could try to win the final game on the road, or just bench his starters. Comparing DC to me, if you had to play a team while missing a starting guard, you want to play me, my guards are weak compared to DCs. The injury can be hidden more against a team like mine then DC's. So he tanks the game, certain to only have one starter injured and gives him the best shot. When you have a great defensive team, you will be in any game and have a fighting chance.

Our rivalry history shows the home team has won every single match. This season, I won by one point at home playing with greater attitude, but my starting PG Cots fouled out in 21 mins. In the second game, I was at the end of my cup streak played on the road and with lower attitude. Since those two games, I have acquired a better starting SG and C, while not selling back-ups at those positions.

So, I have a better starting line-up, more depth, max enthusiasm and HCA. I am not certain of victory, but I am confident that if I can keep my guys healthy and out of foul trouble, should be able to pull out a close one. We both have great defenses, but if Fuso stays injured, that might be too much to overcome for him on the road. This will be one of those grind out, ugly games where neither team scores above 80.

Boy, lathrop, I can't argue with anything you write! I just hope the Rvierdogs without Fuso can keep the game within 10 points.

lol I know, I was going to write a response but I found myself just agreeing with everything that lathrop said so I just deleted my post.
