Very interesting to see and a good idea to try to figure it out. I always figured we were in a tough league one of the toughest thats for sure. Its interesting to think about for sure. Good work as always.

In other news BucsBlue wanted to officially announce and give Joe Hilton all the thanks and recognition in the world. The young man was drafted by the Bucs in a season where the Bucs Invest literally 0 points in the draft and got Joe. he came in as a 7k 19yr old rookie. and trained and worked extremely hard to be over 25k by age of 21. Yesterday the team decided to move Joe Hilton for $ as he was not a key component in the long term goal of moving back to the top of III.7... Joe was a competitor and contributed to keeping the fans happy and the team a float as we transitioned, HOWEVER joe was a bit of a hot head and WAY too aggressive on and off the court... resulting in Averaging over 5 fouls a game every single season. Joe played hard with passion, but in a game of tight windows having Joe foul out over 90% of the games he played in, sending countless players to the FT line, and also hurting his own and our teams overall training mins was too much to overlook when debating the long term of our team. We decided that at Joe's age it was too much of a risk to think that he would just change his aggressive ways so we parted with the player. We hope Joe continues to train and develop and wish him the best moving forward.

I was going to inquire your opinion on this very matter some time ago. In Hattrick there are offsites which take your team's game ratings (like inside defense and flow, for instance, though they're based on zonal ratings, right defense, for example) and can assign a team and a league a power rating and can predict your chances of beating or drawing a team, even accounting for home field advantage. I don't think you'd be able to do quite the same thing in BB, but I'm not a bit surprised to see our league's among the toughest around.
It sucks anybody has to be relegated (It gave me no pleasure to knock out Crosstown in a nailbiter) but there's no thrill in victory without the agony of defeat. If I do get dropped, it's going to hurt like a kick in the gonads, but if it happens I know I'll come back a lot smarter and likely in a easier league. My biggest mistake was trusting buzzer-manager in building my arena. I've cheated myself out of at least a quarter of a million, probably closer to half. That's the kind of mistake you can't afford to make at this level. I'll consider myself fortunate if it doesn't prove fatal.
Good luck, everyone.

los angeles has put together a dangerous squad. you'll have your hands full. you've prepared and performed admirably this season. i kinda hope you get relegated, because the long term consequences of having a manager like you on our side... well, that's just one more thing to worry about, and i'd prefer a team i didn't have to worry about. please, not another one. i already have... well, every team to worry about. i hope svj gets relegated, too. unfortunately, i see both of those scenarios as the more unlikely, and i'll probably have to deal with you again next season, and probably have to deal with at least 1 upgraded starter, which is more than enough to scare me about my playoff spot.

It is brutal, and even if I stay up, I might be in a worse situation next season, if a nightmare scenario of a relegated team as good as Orlando and a promoted team as good as Lionspride. I know it's going to be a long time before I can think about contending here, but I do have reason for optimism. I hated paying a million for a 32 year old small forward, but it needed done. For years I've tried training them myself, an effort best described as EPIC FAIL, and now I'm glad to pay somebodhy else top dollar for their trouble. It probably looked crazy when I spent another million on a a 23 year old back up shooting guard, but he's done better than expected and has improved a lot. I'd probably make a profit on him right now, even with the hefty agent fees. Whatever happens in the playoffs, he'll take the starting job next season and I'll be able to buy another big man.
I do not like using the transfer system in this game. I'm guessing its easier if you've got the premium membership. I looked at a couple of random team's history, and my total expenditures are about a fifth of the rest of the league, I'm guessing. I get 23 year olds because it means I don't have to go shopping for ten seasons. That's why I shave my head once a year -- because I hate sitting in a barber's chair. But to compete up here I'm going to have to learn to tolerate it (using the transfer list, I mean, not getting a haircut).

but yes i agree, relegating from this league is far from the worst thing that could happen to a franchise. for... almost half the teams here, it'd be a good move imo.

hmm, for some reason i had it in my head that you only get a relegated team every other season. seems to me now that it's a bit more random than that
