I don't really have too much of an opinion about the 400k salary players being right or wrong for a team's roster. I do know that JosefKa has rostered a 400k+ player since season 10, so it isn't outside the realm of possibility for teams to do so.
I think people treat these projects like puppies. They are great and fun while they are watching their skill-colors go from pink to green, but once there, the owners realize they haven't done any planning on how to take care of them. Whose fault is that? If you want to have one of the very best players in the game you should have some sort of plan in place. People are always moaning about their long-term strategy being messed with by various game developments so where are these long term strategies that just happen to forget to plan for paying their players?
And I will disagree that shotblocking is worthless.
