I think that your logic is fundamentally flawed. Even if you assume that there is no value in
selling trainees right now it would still be a leap to assume that there isn't significant value in
training players right now. An 18 year old trainee won't be ready for the transfer list for 2-4 seasons and in that time frame there's no reason to assume that the market won't pick up before then.
Deciding not to train for a third of a season (even if it's just training and flipping) seems like a really questionable financial decision and I don't really understand the logic at all.
