I had a quick look at your team and your situation.
Your cup run is over, the Jack Rabbits will destroy you, I would advise not even trying, send in some scrubs and a trainee, play TIE and get ready for the next league game.
Your team:
You have been told how key GS is so from next week you need to be very careful about it. Good options include:
Starting two games with decent backups.
Playing 48+ one game and backup in another.
STarting one game and playing backup in two.
Being the reserve in three games in a week (but can be a bit low if the quality gap is large)
Your stars should never be playing three games a week unless two are as backup.
Your players:
Aren't impressive.
Nicola Chillemi (5792377) is horrible in every way glad you are selling him.
Raphaƫl Tison (2566359) is very bad.
Dennis Magee (10588768) is ok but has the deadly flaw he shares with the other two of being a disgusting passer.
Of your players of salaries $10,000 or more (then there is a massive gap to $5,824) you have two centers, three small forwards and a power forward. Doesn't look very balanced with not one good guard.
It looks like Noe Jarvis (22361315) ia your PG is that right?
Yes, I hurt my GS in the first two weeks of this season by trying to win league games as well as cup games. Now that my cup run is over I will be able to control my minutes and GS pretty well. If you look at my history, my GS was awesome last year and I never played my good players three games in a week. This year I felt the need to do it because I was trying to win a game.
Needless to say, D4 was a rude awakening for me. I scouted some D4 leagues before I moved up, and I thought some of my guys would be good enough to win some D4 games. But then I land in a pretty tough D4 league and find out that guys I have who dominated at D5 and one that even won the D5 MVP, are bench players in the league I am in now.
I think most of what you said is right on. I've come to realize that, because my team dominated at D5, I thought it was better than it really was, and that's why I'm in the position I'm in in D4 today.
Tunc E. is a good guard for my team. I think he is listed as a SF though. But his ID is not good, so he has been training as a G for me. He's 21 years old and with the pops he's received this season, his salary should now be over $20K.
And yes, Noe Jarvis is my PG. Noe is the last player left from the team of scrubs I got when I took the team over. Noe got 13 pops last season and is now a 20 year old who has received two pops this season. So I'm still trying to train him up to being something usuable at the D4 and D3 levels.
I've made some mistakes on the way to where I am now, that's for sure. To be honest, some bad advice from others mixed with some unknowledgable moves by me has hed my team back this season.
Thanks for your advice. It is appreciated. Now that I do not have to worry about winning cup games, my GS and enthuisium will be much better in the future. Check back in a couple weeks and you'll see a major difference.
