Dont think Koop's asked a question. Did you mean mllama?

Noticing the lack of talent coming through our to our U21 side I decided to create a federation with its primary focus being to help out our NTs talent. The idea in my head was hopefully no future U21 coach would have to deal with such a poorly talented roster

This comment was about the federation I made and how I created it because I noticed the lack of talent coming through last season. So I made it to hopefully help out with the training and amount of Aussies players being trained. If we can help by providing one or two extra players that the U21/NT coach would not have had otherwise then we would be doing our part successfully in helping with the amount of Aussie talent available. However the federation is also a private thing so I will not go into specifics of how we do things in there. All I will say is there is a lot of encouragement to get Aussie trainees and once we have them we all work together to create as good of a training plan as we can for said player.

Im not sure if I answered your question properly Matty8? I feel it was more of a question about my fed rather than U21 coaching stuff. If I have misunderstood then yeah just let me know

Cheers yodabig.

Well I was already thinking about this. If I got elected I would firstly approach Leeroy and ask if we would still want to be involved with the U21 team or one of the assistants. Putting our personal differences aside I would do what is best for the U21 team and if that meant listening to the previous U21 coach's opinion (because he has the experience) then so be it. If it is the best suggestion of em all then I would go with that, even if we clearly are not fans of each other for now.

Not sure if he would want to help especially if I got elected but the door would be open if he ever decided too.

And like I said, everyone who has an interest in our NTs will get a chance to have their say if they wish. They can BB-mail me, post in these forums or sign up to our offsite forum..

Cool?

That is good. Leeroy has a lot of respect around here and did a fantastic job in season 20 with the team so he certainly knows what he is doing and would be an invaluable assistant/advisor.

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for being at my press conference tonight. It is a good opportunity for us all to ask the questions we need to and receive the answers we crave. Hopefully you will all see why I can bring the best to the table.

What systems and plans will the candidates put in place to ensure that the next generation of Aussie youngsters are well trained?

Good question by the wise old money bags mllama. First thing I plan on doing is bringing back the 'One letter-hyphenated-three lettered animal names'. This will be the rise of the F-rat. I plan on scouting every single 18, 19, 20 and 21 year old of worth and organizing training with the managers myself. I do have a lot of time on my hands for the next 3 months so I can put in about 2-3 hours (At least) every day. After the first season I will see how things are going and maybe set up the 2 person assistant team or go for the mllama 10 person team. I plan on taking things back to the good ol' days!
I have good links with my good ol buddy ol pal Leeroy so if he has any lists stashed away some where I think I can steal them from his filing cabinets. ;)
And what tactical expertise do you bring to the table to ensure that the team is successful?

LI, 3-2
And can we have more arguments? Tis entertaining.

I have a very good history in this area as it is my expertise, would you like me to start something?

Now are there any more questions?

Yes, please do.

Oh an if someone has a nick that is a letter followed by an animal, they've got my vote for sure.

Is anyone else planning on running then?

Im still pondering whether to apply to be honest. It would seem like the logical thing to do after assisting Leeroy occasionally where possible during his reign.

My worry is with Leeroy being less active (I know he will still assist/advise me when available when i ask) i totally believe the U21 job needs an active assistant to touch on not only the current U21 squad playing as well as assisting the managers training the 18yo's and 19yo's that will at some stage be the mainstays of the team.

So if anyone else was willing to assist me then i will potentially put my hand up?! Tactically im ready, experience wise im ready, i would like to think i have an ok standing in the community as well. Just a second pair of active hands would be appreciated if i go for it...?

My question for Latino as well is he has assisted Yoda well with Bolivia by the sounds but can he handle a big country with expectations like australia? The workload for the australia u21's is no doubt massively multiplied.

personally I think this is the #1 issue Australia has. When I trained Lopins I had the latvian U21 scouts touching base regularly and offering advise from the moment I bought him at 18. In Australia nobody talks to you until they are 20 because there is nobody helping and it is too much for one person.

So, at the risk of pissing off my wife more than I already do with the time I spend on BB (and BBSTATS) ... I'm willing to help whoever becomes the U21 coach with the 18/19 yo's to ensure the following generation is coming along as they should before it is too late for them.

I have also assisted Whitebeard for Australia all season long and did notice an increase in the workload. And I well aware that the workload will be even greater with the U21 side because for example the team changes every season and you need to look after each age group so carefully. But I too have so much time on my hands, Im already on BB right throughout the whole day, pretty much everyday. Time will not be an issue for me and the scenario most likely (no one can 100% guarrentee) will not change.

I have heard this question of can I handle it/am I up for it numerous times now. And 'experience' als comes up. Guys theres only one way to find out..

May I have question for you tremell if you are thinking about applying?

How can we know that you will have enough time for this position and how can we be sure that you will put in just as much effort as the other candidates can offer??

If I may say something on this topic. I agree 100% Trikster and I even complained about this issue on the offsite forum in the middle of the past season. I noticed this and said we needed to change things and get on the players real early. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it already in my campaign that if elected I would see to it that each age group gets looked after and that I continuously get updates each week ideally. I would myself right away get onto introducing myself to the young players coach and advising them on training and help set up training plans if need be. Yeah pretty sure I said something like this earlier. So yeah thats one of the big things I will put so much effort into correcting!
