This is the raw data - Bracketed are the number of entries for each
What bothers me is that level 4 and 5 offer pretty close usage and no real clear advantage

How does it work then? If you are getting an additional 8 percent of training per season?

You get 8% more. That's it.

8% more one season + 8% more the next season is still 8% total.

Yes but after two seasons you will have had a better overall increase because you have spent more time with the trainer who has the 8% increase. You get an average of 8per net increase each season, but the longer you have the trainer the more beneficial he is correct?

Obviously you get a bigger increase every season with the higher trainer but saying that after 5 seasons it would be a 40% increase is incorrect.

After 5 seasons, you have still received an 8% increase total with the higher level of trainer. Perhaps that equals 1 additional pop every season for a total of 5 pops. Again, these aren't exact numbers but they're probably not too far off either.

You're thinking small here. I want the 8% increase per week, which means 112% increase for a season so I should get twice the pops and rule the world with my octopus squad.

Seriously, though, when are sea creatures going to start showing up on the transfer line?
That would be kind of funny if a player had an octopus or fish face.

an 8% increase after 1 year is still an increase of 8% after 5 years... you can't add it up to a 40% increase

It all depends on terms of measurement.
Your CAGR, or Compound Annual Growth Rate, for those five years would be 8%, but your overall growth for the 5 years would be 46.9%.

Thank you! This is what I was trying to say but stated it badly. You made it more clear. +1

The 8% is not at all based on the prior skill level of the player, though, so it wouldn't be compounded.
