Alright a lot of things bugging me in this thread so ill just throw im into one post instead of replying to the specific posts. Id like to mention that I have had a long couple weeks and so im a little on edge, so this post may seem a little aggressive or defensive at times and I apologize for my American behaviour in advance.

1. Offsite
Ive seen things like why dont we have the vote here, why cant kozlik join if there are other foreigners on the offsite already. First off, the way the offsite is designed an admin needs to grant people access to each communities section of the forums. So when someone is accepted they dont get access to every single forum for every country. Its kept as private as each community wants it to be. Admins can grant specific people access if a community wants them to be(for example Morwood as U21 manager of England) or make parts of their community public if they dont mind everyone chiming in. So no, we run no risk of England and other countries "sabotaging" us.

Why am I having the vote on the offsite? Not cause its top secret, but because when I came up with the combined offsite idea it was a goal and a vision of having an offsite as prominent as the USA has it. I want to make it so that in the future when people go on their computer for some buzzerbeater its routine for them to open the offsite with it and check for any new posts. I want it to become a community on the offsite. Not a bunch of people with tactical opinions about the NT, but a place where club related, BB related or non BB related things can be discussed and a feeling of a community of people who all enjoy long term strategic games can have some fun, have some good conversation and kill some time with fun. Things like club team diaries which jeffjeff and Jenny started and I am guilty of not helping out with. Thats the kind of stuff. I figure its less of an all of a sudden thing and more of a gradual buildup to that so things like this vote can only help traffic.

2. Kozlik joining the offsite discussion
The fact that this is becoming such a huge topic is surprising me, but at least its bringing some kind of life and discussion to the forums. I take it you guys are all Miami Heat fans, because it isnt hard to have success with the best players. No offence to kozlik, but anyone who has posted in this thread could have the same success with Poland. Its not hard to win with 12 of the best players in BB season in, season out. His club success does demonstrate a knowledge of tactics ill give him that. He obviously understands BB, but I just dont feel like he has so much more knowledge than the crop of managers we have in Canada.

Also unless I have misunderstood everyones wishes for the NT, we want Canada to eventually become better than the Polands, Czechs, Slovakians and Spains of the BB world. Bringing them into our community is not a step towards that because when we are in a position where we could be beating those teams, theyll know our skills and we wont know theirs. Sabotage isnt what im worried about. More just taking a step in the wrong direction.

I would continue, but gotta go back to work. If kozlik gets voted in, which it seems like he will be, then its whatever. Im the kind of person that always assumes the best in people, im not worried about kozlik. I just want the best for Canada.

I think you could be discounting some of his credentials. League advancement and sustaining success in Poland is much harder than Canada. Less money, way more competition. Their D.II and D.III leagues are probably dogfights. Experience with a top NT and with varied tactics and skill sets is a bonus. 5 of this dude's 6 highest salaried players are listed as power forwards... one of whom cost almost $5m and at least two of whom can play at guard effectively. Seems interesting.

But I agree with Beener that ultimately it should be your decision. I'm fine with any choice. This whole thing is overblown IMO.

I'm on the offsite, and it says that I have to introduce myself, but when I click on 'add reply' it says that I don't have access to reply to a topic in this forum. Could someone grant me access/explain to me what I'm doing wrong?

You already have an account on the offsite with one more underscore then the one you just recently created. Maybe try letters so You can actually remember your alias.

Ok guys, although we have favorable schedule I think it would be nice to reach some consensus on the roster and it would be great if as many managers as possible gave their opinions on the offsite.

I know last decission belongs to Bballin but every idea or opinion helps.

Is it just me or has our NT become very quite? The off site forum is so dead that I have literally stopped checking it. The last post regarding the roster is over a week old and the schedule thread has not been posted in for months. I know that Bballin is busy but the limited activity is horrible for the entire Canadian community. Of course we do have a cream puff schedule at the moment but there is still plenty to discuss including the pending GE changes, revised builds etc.

Are people just becoming disinterested in BB and spending less time on the ste or is there something else happening?
