going to dry spells is common to this game. for me if you want to avoid dry spells you need a good passing pg/sg. it will help a lot getting the ball to where it needs to go.

you played just four games and you seem to be changing tactics each game. in u21 setting since you have a limited time to get to know your players going through too many tactics doesn't really help you much in knowing what players plays well with what tactics. stick to three or two tactics. then find which players gel to which tactic being used. by now you should be able to get the feel which players will be your main starters for the next round. so build an offense around them.

the thing about u21 is every week players stats/skills change so does your opponents skills. that makes u21 so unpredictable. one very important thing in u21 is learn to scout your enemy. that means looking at games of your opponents. find the weak spots/position of the opponent. scouting is the key to winning in u21. mismatches are very evident in u21 settings if you know who to attack and who to defend.

also for me this is something to consider in u21. since skills in u21 aren't that high yet. if you have a very high mono skilled offensive player (player with high primaries and low secondaries) he isn't really a bad option to play. i know other managers will say this is wrong advice but i've had mono skilled bigs b4 in my u21 days as long as you can get the ball to his hands (which means good passers) he can overwhelm the defense of the one guarding him a big portion of the time.

my question to you is this. i have seen you playing inside isolation and princeton. two types of offenses that most people do not use. do you know how offense is being played using those two offenses?

I used Princeton versus Vietnam since we are guard/ forward heavy and our center , hugnatan and cuya had bad gameshapes that week. we struggled with that offense for 3 quarters but it worked like magic in the 4th . We struggled with that offense since we don't have high passing guards and forwards.

Iso offense requires a good passing big man, which we have in hugnatan, that is why he had monster numbers that night, maybe the dry spell can be attributed when he went to the bench since he is the only good passing big right now.

lolo ginagamit ko muna ibat ibang opensa para malaman saan ang click sa team and to confuse opponents I guessing our pace and focus

the reason why i asked why you used princeton and inside iso is because i wanted to see if you understood how the flow of the offense is for both.

based on my understanding of princeton its an offense that passes the ball inside first to the bigs then when the bigs dont have a shot its goes back out. princeton needs good passing bigs and bigs that can shoot from the outside. princeton is known to have a quarters in which you can encounter dry spells then scores in bunches the next quarter.

inside iso is isolation of players that have the best mismatch of the opponents guarding it. it has qualities of LI but shoots a lot of threes compared to LI. isolation means less passing. so if you have guards with good driving and good inside offense inside isolation is a good tactic to play.

that is what i understand of both offense based on how i see my team plays when they use those offenses. if anyone thinks i'm mistaken feel free to correct me.

good day.

Hi Lolo, magandang araw.

Para sakin kasi, eto yung pinaka efficient na offensive play (as per real world). Sa BB, nakakatuwa din sya gamitin kasi somewhat decreased pace sya, so pwede sya sa outside oriented team na lalaban sa mas malakas ka team.

Please enlighten me. :)

Princeton in BB needs good passers and shooters for bigman. As how I understand how Princeton works in BB the ball is passed inside then if no shot can be taken its passed back to the backcourt. You need the right players to make Princeton work If your bigman doesn't have good passing more often the ball gets stolen or the ball is stuck inside and can't be passed back out. Your backcourt also needs decent passing and good outside shooting coz Princeton takes a lot of outside shots (3 pointers)also.

One very bad flaw of Princeton in BB is there seem to be a span of time every game that players cannot get a shot in. As in like a span of 6 to 10 minutes at time.

There are people in the PPL (top league in PH) who play Princeton. I run it often.

Every tactic in BB has its use. You just need the right players to make it work.

PM me if you need help will answer to the best of my abilities.
