I'm no expert as I'm in Div IV just like you. However, I managed to make alot of money in the transfer market early on which has allowed me to purchase two future stars at about 1.5 million each, and also hire a level 6 trainer ( pricey). And I still have about 1 million in the bank. I did it by focusing on training Jump Shot, which alot of people seem to pay a premium for on the transfer market. It also allows you to train 5 or 6 guys a week, which gives you more to sell. The best profit I made (aside from one of my draft picks I sold for 2 million after one year of training) was on a guy with Star potential I bought for $2000 and then sold for $800,000 about a season later. I had a level 4 trainer at that time.

Cheers

Is it just me, or is this an awful draw for the Consolation? We drew the Czechs, Nigeria, Portugal, and Russia. We will need to win at least one of these games. Looking at world rankings, it looks like Russia would be the easiest win, but IMO Nigeria might be the game to go after. Pretty awful draw though when we land World #9, 10, and 13.

I agree that it's a tough draw. At a glance, it looks like most of the other countries from the Americas got an easier schedule (for example, take a look at Uruguay's).

Wow! Huge upset tonight! Great result even if I don't understand exactly how it happened. Coupled with a great u21 result!

I would say the result was mostly due to home court advantage plus their faith in a look inside offense. Looking at the ratings, the teams look pretty evenly matched (I would say we even have the advantage because of our higher defense ratings + rebounding). I know RIP posted on the off-site forum that this was basically an automatic loss but it sure does not seem that way to me and the result speaks for itself.

It must be in inclusion of Michel Picard...he is a legendary rated cheerer. His motivation from the pine should not be underestimated! ;-)

PG G. Milot 28 4 - 11 0 - 1 1 - 2 1 5 4 1 0 1 2 9 14.0
PG M. Picard 20 4 - 5 0 - 0 0 - 2 0 1 6 2 0 0 2 8 14.5

Now that's what I like to see...Picard outplaying his old division rival Milot!!!
