Might be the best thread I've ever read, any game.

Hope this isn't too far afield, but does anybody have any input for me:

I only have 8 players currenty (budget issues). Guards and 1 SF have good driving skills. Inside guys are strong (for my league). Very good shooting skills by SG and good shooting skills by PG. Inside shot is good for PF and C, but C has no JS. I've been playing Low Post to slow the game due to lack of players and not very good stamina (I'm working on it; these are players I bought over the last two weeks). I've tried man-to-man (not very good) and 3-2 zone (better).

Any suggestions? I'm a Supporter so I have PL games to test in (haven't done it before because I haven't taken this game seriously, but this thread has me pumped!), and I'll start doing testing, but I'm just wondering if there's any advice to be had.

I'm going to try Patient in next game just for the comparison.

Awesome thread.

How are you doing with money? adding a cheap veteran, 30 years old, could give you a nce boost.

Are you in to fight for teh title or not? choose your target, then play to win or play just to stay in the league and not relegate

I can survive on money into mid-next season if nothing changes.

I've been in the same league for 5 seasons and finished 5th every time, lol. I tried strictly building on my own and with draft without buying players, and my position never changed. I decided to start over and was able to get 4 very good players, 1 decent older player, and I kept 3 players that are serviceable/have potential.

There are two teams that are vulnerable that I can overtake if I play the right style of BB going forward. Right now, I just want to make the playoffs and get my attendance up.

I've won the two league games since these players joined, and I'm learning how to use them. Now I have to wait for the fans to get used to them so my revenue will increase (attendance at last game before the changes was 69%). If that happens, I will be back to break-even on costs. I have a good size arena (11,000) so no worries there.

I've just never run a team on 8 players before. I'm spending a few weeks focusing on stamina and game shape, and I'm also trying to replace my superior level trainer and doctor with staff that have fitness and massage as specialties. Doing that at a decent price is frustrating. Prices go up to unbelievable levels. Thanks for the questions.

if you are too complicated with stamina buy one garbage player (very cheap), specially for scrimages.

what's really important now is to choose carefully your matchs. Don't try to win every game you play. If you play the best team, sometimes is better to rotate players but go for the goals you can achieve.

69% attendance is pretty low, perhaps lowering some prize could increase incomes...

You're right about picking my games. There are two I really can't win and should rest guys as much as I can.

My prices are pretty low already, 9$ for cheap seats, for instance. I had 98% attendance in two games early in the season. And that 69% was against the 3d place team from the other division. I'm going to wait two more games and then maybe I'll take a shot at changing pricing. Thanks again for the feedback.

Try to manage your enthusiasm, every player under 7 is a waste of money...
No one should play more than 70 minutes per week, this would make your team much stronger.

It's hard to keep players playing under 70 minutes. You must either have very strong reserves or very easy opponents. Or a very strong team so you crease a big difference in the first three quarters and play with reserves only in the worth quarter.

Not to mention that you have also cup games.

Yeah, and if you play your starters in all three games they ill have GS 2 and a 30 K player is just as strong as a 10 k player.
For me, this is a waste of money. You have to choose your games, when you cant win, play your scrups. If you are much stronger, dont play with all your starters. Everyone has this problems and has to adapt.

Patient: For me patient is a great Tactic if you are training guards. You have a weak trainee on PG/Sg, your other Guard is strong and your opponent has a better inside game. Patient should be your choice.
Its the same when your opponent trains guards, let your best player play against his trainee and he will destoy the opponent.

I´m playing patient very often, look up my games if you want to see how it can work and how not.
