Welcome back for Chicago Flames who is in rebuild mode...I know the skill sets of the 21 SG that he got since I was also looking at that guy also...but it's not right to share it here, as long as I know it is good.

Found my final piece at a price that I'm not quite happy with but I'm content on what I got despite the fact that he is 32 years old...roster looks to shake up again after Saturday hopefully...

GL to Blasters for the cup game!

Yes Chicago is definately on the rebuild circuit. Maybe the Flames will burn after all.

Blasters is out of the cup, he went real far already so round of applause for the great journey representing League III.4!

I'm ready for the rest of the season, putting this week games as my new model...hopefully it works out after I put all my chips on the table....

It's true. I'm going to attempt to make a run at not relegating. It seems like an impossible feat, but sometimes a guy just wants the impossible.

Also, sorry for being MIA all season guys. I was on an extended road trip and knew I wouldn't have enough time to scout properly and what not. But here's to a great next month!

Yeah tough road but with Champaign going bot (on monday?) you'll probably only need 3 wins to get up into 7th. Which won't be easy, but with the guys you're adding and the fact the playoff teams might be focusing more on setting themselves up for the post season, it's probably worth giving it a shot.

Where was the road trip and how long/what for? I love a good road trip myself :)

Thanks everyone for your support. With March Madness coming up, it was great getting to the round of 32. Now it's time for III.4 to see the real Michigan Blasters!

Oh wow. The road trip was great. Did basically a west coast tour. Drove through Albuquerque, NM, spent a couple days in Flagstaff, AZ, LA, SF, Santa Barbara, Moterey, CA, Grand Canyon. Was the most fun I ever had.

Yea I figure 3 wins gets me through. Of course if champaign goes bot, then maybe 2 wins? Not sure about the point differential. I know I can get 2 wins. The third, I'm going to need a little luck with. Worst case scenario I fail and sell all my players off before the playoffs. It's basically a win-win situation for me.

I decided to look at each team and label each one what NBA team would resemble who they are, some got labeling from the past but only if I can't find a good suitable comparison to make to. Note that most are not the perfect examples of NBA comparison so this would be hard to draw a perfect comparison, especially since BB has this issue of lack of SF and real life injuries make some players not count as much. For those of you teams who are struggling, please don't take offense, rather use it as a motivation and realize being in division 3 makes your pretty darn good team anyways.

BIG 8

Imperial Phantoms - San Antonio Spurs
Not the perfect comparison but would seem more like it if they had still David Robinson with 2 man maintaining the inside. But the deep team that has dominat PF like Duncan and good guards like Ginobli & Parker and having deep depth and most of all, winning, makes Phantoms looks more like the Spurs.

Cleveland Crazys - Houston Rockets (with healthy Ming)
Rockets not as good as Crazys comparison wise but the squad is similar. Marmolejo stands out from the rest just as Ming does and then there is that Herschel Barry guy who can be compared to Kevin Martin. Houston still is strong and deep in big men just as Crazys are with guys like Estinar & Backhouse, Straum can be compared to Scola, Hayes, Brad Miller.

TDX Dutchmen - New Jersey Nets (Kidd/Carter/Richardson Era)
The squad's powerhouse comes from the PG,SG, and SF who propel this team to a good & athletic squad that can win games just as those Nets back in the day.

VDs - Golden State Warriors (But better)
From winning standpoint, they are not to be drawn a comparison. But like the Warriors, VDs have a young formidable backcourt who can dribble and shoot the hoops. Like the Warriors too, their SF is the weakest spot but they got guys deep that can rebound and defend.

Tachenko - Dallas Mavericks.
Initially said Raptors W/ Bosh of last year but Tachenko deserves more respect. While not a strong comparison to the Mavericks there are just few teams with good PF & C in the NBA. Mayagoitia reminds me of Nowitzki as he can shoot the 3 but little less of 3 and more rebounder than Dirk. Tyson Chandler is solid but Osias Martinez is better. While the backcourt of the Mavericks would considerably be better, like Tachenko the average points range is between 10-16 by the main backcourt guys in Maverick's Terry, Marion,Caron Butler and Tachenko's Major, Mihaylov, & Clinton Butler. Butler would be compared to Jason Kidd but scores more and assists & rebounds less but is a stealing machine. Again this is weak comparison but you had to consider good comparison for Mayagoitia.

Red Terrors - Memphis Grizzlies
Their best players but not by much are big men Jansson & Matas who's numbers also have similarities to Gasol (like also good BLK & STL) & Z Randolph. Like the Grizzlies they also got guys playing SF & SG (not so much Mayo this year) that score in the high teens in Eason & Navales.

Champaign - Detroit Pistons
Like the Pistons, Champaign lead scorers in Stuckey/Gordon/Hamilton/Prince don't score much and they come from guards that can drive to the basket. Like the Pistons in Greg Monroe, Champaign have young talented center in Linaras Trakys. Allan Weber has not played since January but he can be compared to Tayshaun somewhat.

Chicago Flames - Utah Jazz (Post Deron Era)
Flames found their way into winning games and we see the big guys seem to take most advantage in Flames José María Las Heras Tomás & Marko Bezic like the Jazz Al Jefferson & Paul Millsap. You won't see too much similarity in the PG,SG,SF but the scoring range between 10-15 can be seen from the two. This isn't the perfect comparison but as repeated such is the case when your best players are your big men.

The Great 8 comparison will come up next

GREAT 8

Prov City Investors - Chicago Bulls (92-93, but not as good)
I like to emphasize the word not as good cause Prov City really had to have 2 losts at most to be considered as good. But given the rarity of a player like Carmona coming around, I had to draw to team that had rare SG so Carmona is the MJ somewhat of our league. I had to draw to a team also who good SF to compare to while Faerber isn't Pippen he's the best supporting role player for the Investors. B.J. Armstrong was young and good ball manager like Zullo and Horace Grant could grab the paint and score little inside like Bridejs. If you subtract Kobe from Lakers since his career started, you couldn't see Lakers being as backcourt as Investors, and while Heat's DWade were close to the label, they just didn't exactly have the right SF or PG to compare to Investors, so 92-93 Bulls is closest comparison. I'd say Carmona is more Wade or Kobe than MJ however

Crank Dat Soulja Boy - Miami Heat (Wade/Shaq Era, but not as good)
I won't be bias with my team and will say hey we the best hands down. But with my team having the SG & C outshine the rest, it's either Kobe/Shaq or Wade/Shaq to compare to and my team not as winning as Kobe/Shaq so I chose Miami. Laportilla is good serviceable player like Antoine Walker that can shoot the 3. My PG & SF situation a bit different from Miami back then as mine young & theirs old but from limited pool of team to choose that have the awesome SG/C such errors would happen.

Royal Challengers - Chicago Bulls
As mentioned good PF & C combo in the NBA harder to find than in BB so while not the perfect comparison, good enough considering i set priority to compare modern day team and Royal's best players come from the PG, PF, & C. As you guessed, Marangon, Skalec, & Matveevskiy are Rose, Boozer, & Noah respectively. While Rose scores more, the rest is similar between him and Marangon, and both are young with more to grow. Skalec & Matveevskiy rebound more but that's how BB works, by percentile they like Boozer & Noah stand atop in rebounds while Boozer will score much more. Overstreet shows resemblence to Deng as well.

Michigan Blasters - Atlanta Hawks
Not that comparible but when you look into it, they look more like the Hawks than initially it may seem. The rest can score with the Hawks but Joe Johnson scores a bit more much like Ichaso. Pistono can score little in the paint and rebound like Horford, Bordelle can block & steal like Josh Smith but rebounds more compare to his and doesn't score as much. The rest of the starters are solid and whoever starts between Steven Jones or Kris Shultz we can say they got someone coming from the bench and cause havoc like Jamal Crawford. I wouldn't say this is like hawks team in direct one on one comparison but on the big picture consider they are pretty solid from PG to C and got solid depth.

Ron Swansons All-Stars - Toronto Raptors
Maybe I'm missing a team that's better compared and I feel tired so I'm not thinking of one at best on top of my head. Reason I say RSAS are like Raptors is their best player is a center, but Bargnani more of a scorer and less rebounder than Lemos. The rest are more about the guards who like the Raptors, RSAS also have young backcourt with some future.

No Potential - Golden State Warriors
2nd time I made a GSW comparison. That's because this is a team composed of formiddable guards in Beckman & Gallano drawing similarities in playing style like Ellis & Curry. GSW is unique in its style so only them are composed of good guards that bring more shooting than passing. Csikos also has similar numbers with Dorrell Wright & while NP doesn't have directly a big man you can directly compare with GSW, in the big picture both got someone that can grab rebounds David Lee is more scorer than any of NP's big men
