Sargic is back to defend his 3pt crown!
I reckon my boy Chung has a good chance of pipping him though.

abimbola drops 50 points on the big 8! buahahaha!

despite all you big 8s always having a whinge about how tough it is in that conference.. the lowly great 8 manages to oust them in the all star game for the second season running..ooh yeah!

i think i got robbed in the 3pt comp. my boy chung gets 23 poitns along with the other 2 guys, yet doesnt make the final?

He scored more blue balls (oh god, dont go there)... he got more money balls.... wait... he scored more final frame balls than the other 2 guys, so im wondering why he didnt make the final?

Anyone know the rules regarding this? What happens when 3 peeps score the same score int he first round? Who goes through?

I dont think I whinged, however the statistics i mentioned previously are quite damning.

i.e.

Big 8 have a combined tally of 60 wins to the Great 8s 44 wins
Big 8 have 6 teams with positive point differences to the Great 8s 3 teams
Big 8 teams combined have a positive point difference of plus 577 v the Great 8s negative 577

Perhaps the Great 8 has a few champion players (salary hogs) where as the Big 8 has a large number of very competitive well balanced teams.

Ofcourse the result would have been different if Ziggy Jolly had have been played as a Power Forward

Is that the official ruling? Last set is the tie-breaking methodology?

Yeah man I'm pretty sure it's just a count-back.

Another Big 8 and Great 8 statistic to ponder.

The teams in the Big 8 combined have 23 players whose salary is greater than 50K per week as compared to the Great 8s 18 players.

3 teams have only 1 player over 50K they being; Wagadugu Hippos, The Players and the Mad Rangas

6 teams have 2 players over 50K they being West Indies, Geelong Vipers, The J Ballers, Mayhem, Northcote Slammers and Hadders Heros (4 of those teams are in their top 4s for their conferences)

3 Teams have 3 players over 50K they being: Tannum Tantrums, Team Akuma and Hopelssly Addicted

3 Teams have 4 players over 50K they being; Coalcliffe Clippers, Crockers and the Cunning Linguists (2 of these teams are outside of their conferences top 4)

One (1) team and only one team has 5 players with salaries over 50K , that team is Avalan Jets.

Hopefully one of those that i have will be sold very shortly.

$50k is an interesting number though. Of the 4 that i have over $50k, only one is above $60k.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh statistics.

Just to help you guys out here are the stats for the salaries for the league.

01. The J ballers (38880) 14 $ 443 877 $ 31 706 $ 45 011
02. Corio Bay Giants (38677) 12 $ 439 414 $ 36 618 $ 35 646
03. Cunning Linguists (196288) 15 $ 414 390 $ 27 626 $ 31 957
04. hopelessly addicted (38913) 16 $ 403 577 $ 25 224 $ 29 297
05. tannum tantrums (38711) 11 $ 392 208 $ 35 655 $ 39 442
06. TeamAkuma (38644) 13 $ 378 814 $ 29 140 $ 41 048
07. Northcote Slammers (38593) 13 $ 362 473 $ 27 883 $ 26 899
08. Geelong Vipers (38592) 12 $ 361 420 $ 30 118 $ 29 569
09. The Players (38819) 11 $ 334 770 $ 30 434 $ 32 819
10. Coalcliff Clippers (196103) 15 $ 329 228 $ 21 949 $ 23 266
11. West Indies (196423) 11 $ 325 007 $ 29 546 $ 23 115
12. Hadders Heros (38744) 11 $ 323 912 $ 29 447 $ 22 004
13. Mayhem (196212) 12 $ 322 109 $ 26 842 $ 35 724
14. CROCKERS (38606) 8 $ 305 839 $ 38 230 $ 41 549
15. Wagadugu Hippopotamuses (196142) 11 $ 204 223 $ 18 566 $ 17 394
16. Mad Rangas (196653) 12 $ 182 285 $ 15 190 $ 17 666

Such a compact league. Except for the Hippos and the Rangas everyone else is within $140,000 of eachother, so if CROCKERS bought one $140,000 big man they would jump to the top salaries in the league. Who will make a big move to break away from the pack? Sid has done it before and while training is nice, a season tanking in the ABBL would let him get a level seven trainer and do out of position training with no worries, hard to top that.
