That was what BB originally proposed. Then many managers from smaller nations came out very strongly opposed to the idea of foreigners invading their nations, and in the truly micro nations quite likely becoming the majority.

My memory is that only a few people were strongly opposed. And there was one proposal that would have limited the amount of invaders so that they couldn't be a majority. I also wonder how many people who commented from small nations who were worried are still playing. There are countries in BB that don't have anyone playing now that was playing the game at the time the debate was going on.

At the time, I was actually in favor of people being allowed to have a second team in another country. However, I've ended up being happy with Utopia, and think I actually prefer it over playing in a micro nation, or any nation with less than 250 active owners. I consider any country which can't support a full DIII to really be too small.

And Gully, we'll just have to agree that our recollections differ. Of course, anything discussed on the forums only represents a very small fraction of BB users. Whether or not BB should have decided to move away from the idea of allowing second teams in other countries because of the complaints raised by those from micro nations at the time really isn't that relevant any more anyways. They made their decision and I certainly don't expect that option is likely to be considered again any time soon.

I'd never really disagree strongly with a Browncoat.
