I haven't been a NT manager, but I think I like the new system. I mean, NT managers will now have to make choices, and deal with the consequences.

It was too easy for them before..

Looking forward to see how it works.

I put the lineup in for my cup game last night noting i was playing a bot opponent.

The findings are sad quite frankly. ...I put a player at the pg, sg and c spots. ...... they played 36 mins strait and st out tee 4th due to blow out.
No tactical changes .

It was directed to some of your previous posts.

Perhaps not enough players are getting minutes, but I somewhat like that. With blank lineup, NT managers didn't have any responsibility for minutes distribution or which player would get starting positions. Now they need to make choices, and those choices will influence the end result more, and player's owners might complain and things like that..

All in all, I like the new system, since it puts more responsibility to NT managers.

For managers of NT players, the new BLU is a disaster. You are right. The starting 5 plays most of the time and some players who played 1-3 minutes with the old BLU dnp now. So, like you said, it is lost money.
Our NT played for seasons with a manager generated line up. The new BLU doesn't affect us, but I understand that it's a hard blow for some countries. Like motivation for training NT players etc.

@all who is interessted
How the new BLU works:
You set your players. Let's say three starters. PG, SF and C. And the rest is clear. The Engine will take a look at all the other players, rate them and fill the two empty starter slots. After that it will asign a back up for every starter. Again, based on the engine generated rating. If the rating of the starter and the back up is close, the engine will sub the starter out more often. If there is a big gap between these two, the starter will play as long as his rating is better as his back up's. Stamina has a huge influence on this. So it can and will happen, that a starter will play for 47/48 min because his back up has Stamina 2 or 3.

Private leauge game amd more of the same. ...pg, sf and center plugged in.

All three played 48 mins in the same spot.

This adjustment made this season is crippling!
This is no exaggeration on my part. ... it is clearly a step back.

The Devs should take out the tactic "Let the coach decide", because in the spirit of thoes very words that aspect no longer exists. The blank lineup allowed you to see what the coach would do in letting him decide.

This present GE is a dinosaur.

Manon I probably have played about 200 games iwth CPfDC and if the starter is the better player he will play more minutes than in blank/LCD. That is a fact. What you can do in league games is to keep minutes in check by setting a better player as backup (he will play 20-35 minutes depending how much better he is than the starter), however that will not help you in a NT game since you won't play a significantly better player as backup. CPfDC is much more flexible than strictly, but it only helps marginally if you set your best possible lineup.

Let's put it this way. The sub pattern with blank/LCD was already in the game. Surely they can implement something similar without the blank.

This is accurate and I believe CPfDC works the same way. Also, now a fully set depth chart/CPfDC and fully set depth chart/LCD should give very similar results. We should get the old sub pattern with LCD (with more limitations to players juggling around different positions).

The code must be there, presumably they would just need to tweak it.

I will ask on Wednesday if I have the time to log. The alternative is reworking the impact on merchandise of course.

I ran repechage games from season 28 and from season 30 to compare numbers and substitutions. I ran only first two groups becose of time. I have to say in each season there were weaker teams with tight rosters so World cup datas will be more accurate to compare at the end of season. But this is what i have counted for now:

BLU vs. NO BLANK
games: 24 - 24
players involved: 260 - 239
avg no of players per game: 10,8 - 9,9
players with 40+ mins: 17 - 54
players with 35-40 mins: 43 - 35
players with 30-35 mins: 25 - 13
players with 29 and less: 175 - 138

So in total with current system we play on avg 1 player less than before (as i said with more equal teams i think the number will be pushed).
With current system we have 23% of players playing 40+ minutes. With BLU we had 7%. That is 16% increase (that is about the same as lvl 5 and lvl 7 trainer?).

Possible consequences were described earlier.
