^^ BB-mail me if you get that going, Buck4.

I'm enjoying it so far. I took over one team who were at 1-12. They are now 17-17! Still, many things confuse me (for example, I can't join the forums to ask questions), for example flamethrowing pitchers with good endurance who pitch five shutout innings and then get pulled.

I recently took over a couple teams as well. Did the pitch have 100% fatigue going into the game? If not that might be way. Also he may have thrown a lot of pitches in those 5 innings. Check your manager options as well. It may have been set to pull him at the first signs of trouble.

The learning curve for CSFBL is pretty large.....hang in there. Getting on the forum and reading opinions of other more experience players is essential.

When the draft rolls around, you'll need to understand age:salary ratio. Just don't draft the highest salary player....often times there are better players -- younger players with smaller salaries.

Yeah you can set it under manager options to take pitchers out when they are extremely fatigued and only half as effective if you'd like.

Have any of you new guys to CSFBL been able to create a new team yet?

Never mind, I can create my own team now. In that case, let me know if we have enough interest to start up a league. We can make it private and hopefully run it for a while.

Either post here or BB-mail me if you are interested. I'm glad to try to get this organized, but if there are any CSFBL vets out there interested in joining as well and want to help out / be a league commissioner please also let me know. It seems that's how it works at least.

You see, that's what's confusing. This is his statline from 2 starts ago:

4 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 9 SO, 28 TB, 50 TS. 78 pitches and the game pulled him!

We won that game 4-1, were leading 3-0 when he got pulled after completing 4 innings. His line for his last start was almost identical. He has no seasonal fatigue (I moved him from closer to starter since he's really rather good) and has EN of 61, admittedly the lowest EN of all my starters.

Hey man,

One of the big things is where you have the settings to pull the pitcher. That's in your manager settings.

I suggest pulling starters at around -30% and relievers at about -10%

Position players are good to rest at about 30%

That should help some of your pitching issues.

Also remember that the numbers you see are not accurate unless you have full spending in scouting. Otherwise all stat's are off by some number.
Hope you can get plugged into the forums over there so you can ask questions over there.

f.

I just started playing csfbl earlier this week and am really enjoying it. I would like to get in on a new league with some new BB converts if possible. I am just now able to create a team so count me in if you decide to get a league up and running.
