".. approximately 70% of missed shots from the corner go to the opposite side." Still they want to rotate their other big man to the first side, rotating a wing to fight for 70% of rebounds taken from the corner.
I thought you'd rotate wings to close down a corner shot in 3-2 zone..

Good point but maybe I can explain it a bit.

First of all, you notice that if the ball is shot from the other corner, it will be the 4 (PF) doing the weak side rebounding, so it's not always the 3 (SF).
Secondly, in a 2-3 zone, usually the corners are defended by the guys down low in the zone. In a 3-2 this becomes the guys on the free throw line extended. In this diagram, the low man still covers the corner but I believe it is better to send the wing down and rotate the other top guys over. The weak side low guy (3 in the diagram) is then responsible for skip passes
Lastly, you have to remember that when the ball goes to the corner and the low guy moves out to cover it, the center has to fill that space or else you have a huge gap at the ball side low post, which would be a bad thing for your defense. So the C is generally moving to that position before the shot is taken.

I haven't noticed lately because I haven't been watching my games, but I do remember a few seasons ago some steals turning into quick (3 or 4 seconds) baskets at the other end. In my opinion the main thing that could be added to the game is a fast break. I have some ideas about how to implement it but am so far from being a programmer that I will keep them to myself as they are probably either impossible or so time/code consuming as to be impractical.

Watch your games more closely, then. Often, after a steal, it takes less than five seconds until a layup or dunk is attempted.

If that's not what's happening, either your inside offense is very weak, or you're playing slow tactics. But in any case, I have observed fast breaks with regularity during my games.

Yes, but those are usually desperation plays. And I'd say the simulation isn't perfect in terms of time management. But I'd surely say those layups 5 seconds after steals are meant to be fast break points.
