The Dean is just training for at least two more seasons before I even try to win. I may even get relegated, but I wouldn't mind, then I could easily win division IV and get to an easier league. The Big 8 teams here are all too good.

If you want to get relegated make sure you loose as many games as you can so you can get a better draft pick to hopefully make it worth it.

Hey lazioAU thanks for the advice. I don't expect it as a gift but I do expect to eventually earn it through patient training. This is my choice. Obviously I have a mountain of money, $2.5 million. I could just buy some star players, I looked a lot at the transfer list over the last two weeks. For that much I could get a $100,000 PG, a $100,000 PF and a $70,000 C easily. Add them to the guys I already have and I would be promoited easily, no offence, but I would. But then what? That isn't my aim. Have a look at my transfer list. My aim is to train my own players and bring them to div2. I am making money here - a lot. I can train PG one week, C the next and still win almost every game. But trust me training SFs isn't easy.

So after a lot of thought I am buying a level 6 trainer, expanding my arena again and will be fighting with the team I have. I will do what I can to try and beat you, but if you win, well done and I wont be sad. I still have 5 players from my original team 3 of them still play important minutes. I still have the first player I ever bought. I have 5 of my draft picks which now include my 2 best players. Everyone has different aims, my aim is to make my own players great.

So to Sundae, lazioAU, WhiteMaggot and everyone else good luck. I will fight you as best I can but for now, it ill be on my terms. At some stage I will probably buy another great player, but probably not this season.

I'll give you a few tips, 2.5mil is not a mountain of money. I have seen lots of people think that they can buy players before the finals with all the cash they have and fail big time. watch out for teams that got relegated the season before, some of the bring a lot of cash back down with them. They either sell some players and tank the Div they were in, Tank for draft picks and then sell them for 1 mil+. I said it before and ill say it again there is always someone with more money.

You have a lot of allstars on your team that are getting into there mid 20's and there salary's look to be low for there age, but that could be due to there training if you have trained them with a lot of balanced skills. You need to also be thinking now about what your going to be doing in Div 2 before you get there.

Good luck in getting there.......

The Dean has the same problem. Allstar potential is a very limiting factor. I don't think Darren has a bad salary for his age but I am worried he will be capped very soon. Martin has the same issue and Dane is only a little better at perennial allstar. I really need to draft or buy someone with great potential next season.

Darren Hartley (18958336) Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 24 349
Role: key player
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 201700
Age: 20
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: strong

If $2 1/2 million isn't a mountain of money then I wonder how much you have? Probably 10 times me.

It's good to believe in your players, but...

They all have a low potential and will all cap out very soon. They're fine players, but in div 2 I assume only 1-2 of them would be an average starter.

About training, you do it double position. It's fine now due to the low potential of your guys, but hiring a level 6 trainer for this is useless.

I don't think it's worth spending more seasons in div 3 for a bunch of allstar guys. Superstar potential is the minimum to make it worthwhile in my opinion.

2.5 millions is nothing. It's a mountain for a team that hasn't seen anything higher than d3. However, that's what I value to be THIS season benefice for me.

Your arena is big enough to get a lot of cash if you promote. You can already build it up to ABBL standards, but what would be the point? It's taking a long time, you could do it much faster.

To give you an idea: if I demote this season (which is probably not gonna happen), I would get around 3 millions by selling a couple of players. I'd get a good draft pick and train him along with my other young boys who still have a good progression margin (and are already better than the d3 standards).

So again, I respect the fact that you want to win with your current roster. Just be aware this is not the best solution and that sooner or later you will have to sell most of your team if you intend to promote and stay up. Maybe you could consider selling some boys and buying 3 MVP rookies with good starting skills. That would make your training worthwhile and you could plan long term. Although I know you do not like trading at all...

Not x10 the cash but maybe x9 lol.

I've just been around a while now and i have seen a lot of plans fail and have had a few of mine fail as well, getting to Div 2 and been competitive against the top team and just making up the numbers in the lower part of Div 2 are 2 different story's. I got burnt training all stars before and having them cap and slow down in training about 3X slower, and there is nothing worse than having a player you have trained for 3-5 seasons cap.

The Dean has mostly trained with a level 4 trainer and has a student on the Australian U21 National Team. Potential is important Darren is going to cap next season and The Dean will be looking for 3 young high potential new students to carry on his great tradition of teaching youngsters how to play the game. Having Darren cap at age 21 will be very upsetting but at least it will mean The Dean has his PG for the next 10+ seasons.

You guys are all Awesome^.- :)

Thanks so much for all the great advice. I really think everything you guys have said is correct. Training SFs is really hard and training them two position has been slow but with their low potentials it hasn't mattered. Some day I will draft a superstar and then I will really concentrate on him. Until then 2 of my 3 main guys José Miguel Luque and Warrun Cuerden are perennial allstars and just 24 so have a lot more training in them to get all of their skills balanced.

I had a good win against the Magots but will need a lot of luck against Lazio@. Still it has been a great season, I am making more money than I know what do with. Whitemaggot says $2.5 million is not enough, I will try to be more frugal next season but I spent a lot this season on improving my arena.

Thanks again everyone, I think this is the nicest league anywhere. :)
