I sat down with both managers this week to get some insight into their preparations for the cup final!

Brian - 7 time Cup Gold Medalist, 5 time NBBA champion

Yeppers- With 7 cup titles already under your belt, what makes this one significant?

Brian- i "lost" the other 6 in a recent move (i know those f'in movers stole them). if i can get back to the b3 there's plenty of teams we'll be visiting to steal trophies from for replacement.

Yeppers- Your opponent has lost his last two cup final appearances, which has put a heavy chip on his shoulder. How do you plan to handle that?

Brian- wow, i thought having a chip meant you were arrogant or egotistic. thank you urban dictionary, this makes a lot more sense now. i also learned about conversational blue balls. moving on.

Yeppers- Anything you would like to say to jfarb?

Yeppers- Fill in the blank: "Winning this cup final will make me feel ......... because......."

Brian- Winning this cup final will make me feel besieged with irrevocable exulting because cup final! cup finals never get old.

Yeppers- Looking back at all the great USA managers that have come and gone, where do you rank yourself among the greatest, and how would winning an 8th cup final affect that standing?

Brian- while i always wanted to be the slow short white version of MJ on the court, i kick his ass in the front office. air jordan on the court is airballer jordan in the front office. if he owned a bb team, it'd be called airballers.

Brian- Just a "for realz" shout out to farb. i hate to lose, but if it goes that way ill be happy to see him take it home.

After that intriguing interview, I sat down with Jfarb over cocktails and managed to get a halfway-coherent interview out of him before he got belligerent. The remainder of the evening was spent talking him out of going all Tonya Harding on Nemesio.

Yeppers- Despite the troubles in cup finals, you have one of the better cup track records in the USA. How did this run compare to some of your past runs?

Jfarb- In past runs no one expected me to win or knew who I was or cared. This time nothing has changed.

Jfarb- Winning this cup would make me feel stomach pain because I will be eating Taco Bell while watching the game.

Yeppers-You have a chance at double gold this season (Cup and NBBA). How much would an accomplishment like that mean to you?

Jfarb- I'd probably be pretty happy about it, which would make me reevaluate my life.

Yeppers- What should we expect from the game on Thursday night?

Jfarb- Trash talk. Injuries. Crying. Nachos Bellgrande. More crying.

Well with the interviews done, nothing left to play the game. Darth Brian vs. Obi-wan Jfarb. King Drive Super Man vs. Air Lex Luthor. Etcetera. Should be a cup final for the ages! Thanks to both finalists for their responses!
