Since people in this thread seem to enjoy their music I'm going to take this opportunity to randomly share a couple of hip-hop artists who haven't really made it huge yet, but are really worth checking out. Got some of my favourite songs by each listed too.

Oncue- Probably actually my current favourite. Check: Feel Tall, Running, Rich Kid
The Dean's List- Found him cause a friend of mine did some hooks for him, liking so far. Check: Ce Soir, La Vie, No Sleep
Atmosphere- Been around for quite some time, part of ryhmesayers. Check: Sunshine, Shoulda Known, You
Brother Ali- Same as Atmosphere, recently being doing some more political songs. Check: Only Life I Know, The Puzzle, Forest Whitaker
Childish Gambino- Also on Community. Mostly just smack talking, but has some fun rhymes. Check: All the Shine, Heartbeat, Break

Atmosphere and Gambino are pretty huge already brah :P...Brother Ali too, but maybe I just perceive that because I'm from the Twin Cities. I've met Slug before, pretty chill dude.

I wouldn't say huge, being from the twin cities probably makes them seem a bit bigger(I know I'm from northern Iowa and friends from Cali had never heard of them, like I'd never heard of The Dean's List until recently)

I might give you Bambi though :P

Three words...Ronnie James Dio

I wish there were pigmen. You get a few of these pigmen walking around I'm looking a whole lot better. Then if somebody wants to fix me up at least they could say, Hey he's no pig-man!

I recently heard about Jon Bellion and I just finished listening to his entire album, Translations Through Speakers, and my verdict? He is my new favourite artist and I think everyone should listen to him. He is different and I love it!

Ugh. Anytime any of Mr. Hammer's lyrical oeuvres is brought up for some reason my mind brings up "Pumps and a bump" and that burrows into my ear canal and nibbles on a corner of my brain for weeks on end until something finally scares it out. I mean, it could have been the Addams family theme and I'd be cool with that, but the only redeeming thing about pumps and a bump beside the fact that there are only about 10 words in the song repeated over and over is that Deion was in the video, and even that doesn't help. Here's hoping that when you're about to have that perfect zero game that in the last seconds, one of your scrubs gets an offensive board and an assist for a three point shot that miraculously goes in. And I will be there, yes I will, shouting "Hammer time!"

Or probably not.
