Hi,

It's been a while since I last posted. Had a very busy last 4 months.

Looks like it's going to be an open season. Still a lot of teams in the running.
Anything can happen I guess!

I have just added a new guard, who should be able to replace Dirnberger in 1 or 2 seasons.
Due to this move I'm forced to sell my back up guard Carpentier. A very decent belgian guard, who has his place in BBBL. (just so you know, should anyone be interested ;-))

Is it just me, or are there fewer quality belgian players on the market right now?
Seems to me that their number is declining since a couple of seasons, or is everybody just holding on to their best players?

Regards,
H

I fully agree. Neudt had been perfectly trained, Nat has him trained out of position for a very long time, and still he succeeds in getting results and promotion to BBBL ...

Neudt was a monster in U21 but had flaws (passing if I recall well) I don't know his profile yet but I'm sure he'll be a regular NT starter within a short time span.

Back to topic, there are less and less good belgian players on the market. I was very fortunate to land in Claeys and Vaes, unfortunately Marichal isn't getting any younger and I'll have to think of his replacement some day or another, and I can tell it's a real pain in the ass. I don't seem to find a suitable replacement and may have to buy a foreigner ...

On the other hand the Greeks have a lot of nice players on the TL.
They're very expensive though.

If I continue like this I'll have more Greeks than Belgian players on my rosters.
I hope I don't regret this move later on though.

It's always better to buy home players, but no team is 100 % belgian.

Right now there are players with potential, but they're getting daytraded, or haven't been trained for a long time rendering their upper potential useless :/

Sure, he was a nice player. Maybe no difference maker, but a nice 5th man, or back up guard for BBBL standards.
Those are also important players in a team.

Anyway, thanks for the tip. Of course I was joking about adding more greek players to my roster.
It's pure coincidence that I have 3 of them right now. And last season I sold Christofilakis, that makes 4.

H
