If you make OD more expensive, the outside guards also get even more expensive while they are already too expensive compared to LI guards. You won't solve the problem this way, you'll probably make it worse. LI guards won't change, they'll be a bit more expensive but still managable. No-one is gonna train any outside guards anymore though because they will be 250k+, so even more LI guards!

If no one trains "outside" guards as you call the guards with 19-20 OD or whatever, then the outside tactic will work better.

All top teams have guards with 20+ OD and their salaries are a joke. That's why the percent of the shoots is so bad.
No high OD = better percents of outside shoots.

What I mean by outside guards, is guards that score outside, so with high JS/JR (instead of high IS for LI guards).

If a guard with 20 JS/JR/OD currently costs 200k, and with OD getting more expensive it will surely cost 250k+, how many managers will train a player like that? They will not train JR then, and those that would want to train it in the current situation will train IS instead of JR because that way they will only need to pay half the salary (125k when OD gets more expensive) instead of 100k now).

This effect will hit JR guards harder than LI guards, because salary grows exponentially when skills are high (meaning the difference between 19 and 20 OD is much bigger salary increase than 9 to 10 OD).

You can train what you wont, at the moment, you can't normal score with 20-15 JS JR guards because of high and cheap OD.
Or they will not simple train OD that high because that will raise the salary the most?

If a player with JS 20 / JR 15 and OD 18 had 150k salary
and a player two JS 20 / JR 15 and OD 20 had 250k+ salary would you train it to 20?

I would train a 20 JS / 9 JR / 20 OD / 20 IS player for 150k :) That's what I'm saying.

Make the OD on higher lvls even more expensive so you cant get 20 OD with 150k

I know what you're trying to say, but changing the GE is not an easy job...

Or just simple don't touch the engine, make an easy change, big OD = big salary.

3 pointers just don't work, even in lower series
in the last 15 seasons, i played in II and III and my season % ranges between 18% and 31%
it's not like all my opponents had 18+ OD on their players

And its not like your guard had 20-15 JS JR right?
Anyway I agree with you, they need to find a way to fix the bad outside shooting percents.

I understand why they want to make changes - it's a bit off balance at the moment and changes are needed to make progression for the game, so I support that.

The concept of how to do that - decrease something, increase something, some combination - I'm not sure what would be the right approach, I am sure there are insane amount of data and simulation capabilities which can give the right answer to the question.

BUT, what I absolutely do not agree with to release something in a rushed pace like this - yeah we will do something in s50, will release it to some games for testing and live from s51 - that's disrespectful to the managers who built teams consciously... at least 1-2 seasons of notice would be expected.

The app question - in my view that's a convenience thing - but a very popular and demanded one from the community for sure.

I think I would do the following:
1. Complete dev for the engine, implement into private leagues and scrimmages for testing - but do not implement in s51, only in s52 or s53.
2. Do the app and release it as soon as you have it ready.
