None of this explains how timeouts work, although I'm a bit confused as to how a game that sims in under one second is not a predetermined outcome. We already know that the sim is flawed through things like the game clock continuing to run during dead ball scenarios, so how would we know that timeouts are working as designed without an explanation of how they are supposed to work and what they do?

What seems more likely is that the sim computes the final score (just as a external website used to do) and then uses random data/info to indicate how it got there to give the appearance that a game is ever in doubt. It's good to know that games are done in less than a second so that I can stop wasting 3-plus hours per week watching entire games looking for trends.

You know what seems even more likely than that? The answer that one of the BBs just gave you ever so graciously.

Are you referring to the answer that I already knew or the main question of this thread? All we have learned is that the viewer gives the "appearance" of a live game. I've never paid attention to the button I click, but doesn't it say "view live"?

here's a sample of how a Basketball G.E. works... but the Simulation of the games just happens in an instant... as what BB_Justin uncovered.

Comebacks can happen... and in your case...most likely it is because the other team go easy on the first 3 Quarters and bully their way on the 4th...

I trust other managers that scouted both teams in the match you are referring to... with that please accept that your team really can't win that game no matter what you do... and your Opponent's AI Coach has just chosen to play power trip on you.

Just come back strong next Season! You can do it!

I appreciate the cheerleading, but honestly, this doesn't explain anything. When you use terms like "most likely" you're doing absolutely nothing but guessing. It's just as likely that the sim created a scenario that was unrealistic in the fourth quarter or the other team all did meth during the break. See how guessing works?

No questions have been answered about the function of timeouts. You all have have unsurprisingly ignored the deception about the view live feature, and no details have been given on how upsets can actually happen. I'll grant that I probably shouldn't have been ahead, but there is no reason for the 29 point difference in the fourth, unless the outcome was predetermined and the sim was doing anything it could to get to its final margin.
