Wow! What an amazing upset by Sinsinata Tigers! They became quite a solid team recently. Beat MTS and me in the run up to the PO, then now PhantoMech.

Meanwhile no surprises on the Big 8 side. LDS and Lakers Junior got to the conference finals easily. I expect LDS to be facing Tiger in the finals coz in terms of squad quality, I'm really behind them.

Omg... I am aiming the first banner :(... actually Laker junior can win too ><

Thanks, my take is that it was a mix of luck of being underestimated (by design) and a good strategy pick especially towards the end of the season that led to a victory against PhantoMech and Tampines Fusion. The aim was to push as much as possible even though being placed on the 4th place will mean a permanent debuff due to home court disadvantage for us.

The team did transition to a more mature squad this season as I had to balance between different competing goals that I set for myself at the start of the season, so far it's paying off.

In terms of quality of the squad, I think we're almost on par with the top teams but I would not say we're above, we still got a bit of improvements to make but all will be decided next week when we'll know how far we aimed and how realistic it came to be.

Lakers Junior have a very solid team as well and I will be curious to see if the home advantage of LDS will be enough to secure the final game. If I were to bet, I'd say it will be decided at game strategy level rather than player quality but lets see.

I believe that the end of this week I'll have a good idea on our chances mainly driven by what skillsets are popping (or not) as it will be crucial for the success of the squad; from a game strategy point of view, TS, Lakers Junior and LDS managers are top notch and here is where I am most concerned about.

Meanwhile LDS did really well with the big win over Lakers. Me and Tigers had a tough fight. I thought there was a chance after 2 of his key players got injured, but his team was just too strong.

Congrats LDS and Tiger! This season we will see a newly crowned SBBL champion! May the best team win!

Thanks BuzzRBeater, this was really breathtaking game for me and just by luck we managed to get the win. Very entertaining fight between Lakers and LDS, although the latter was much in control all of the 4 quarters I would have bet initially that the point difference to be a lot less when the game was over.. so another puzzle for me to understand the game engine.

Firstly this is the first final for Tigers and that in itself we consider an over-achievement already this season! It will be mission impossible for us to hope for a victory as LDS has a very very strong team still, one could only hope.
