Despite a poor showing at my opening home game I am still making money.....

I am now worried that there will be a new tax for non-domiciled players..... this would sadly push me over the edge......

I gotta say its likely to get tougher out there before it gets easier...

Its not just the actual bottom line figures that effect people its the subsequent handcuffs that non-disciplined managers will find tough to handle.

Most managers love to delve into the transfer market and the changes have basically forced most managers to hold and train. For some this might be fun but I'm willing to bet for others this is a turn off which if people cant splash out cash to help improve their team this will prove a deterrent from the game.

Gotta say, i'm one of those managers.

I'd never even come close to being a day trader or anything like that but i liked checking out the tranfer market and seeing who i could afford, what's out there, what players might improve my team etc and mayyybe making a bid or two (even if i lost) but now i dont even bother because after seeing the revenue from my first home game (also a tv game), it looks like the only money i'll be making this season will be from merchandise.

Early days yet so we'll see how it goes i guess.

Eventually the prices for players will come down. People won't be able to afford high salary guys but won't be able to charge extortionate amounts because nobody will be able to pay them. Maybe this season will be tough. In three or four seasons we'll all be laughing about the bitter winter of season 6.

I hope.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

At the end I can say very good changes!

You can see my roster and the salary of my players, I'm in second division and I hope to get the break even point this week, otherwise I'll sell another player. With 200k/salary week you can still not lose money. I've seen some rosters of people posted here before me and I really can't understand why they can blame this new system.
Maybe you can't buy anymore players at 10 millions but some of you can still easily buy player at 5 millions, pls don't cry
This new change put me in trouble but I'm really so happy to face also this problem, only to train and buy is not good for me.

Good luck with your money sirs

.

My country isn't big. In fact our total pool of users is about half the users currently online in Italy alone. The standard of play of the top league would probably be somewhere in between Div II and Div III in Italy. But unlike those playing in the lower rungs of the bigger leagues, we are encumbered with the 'income tax' designed to limit the financial power of bigger teams.
.

But you dont'know that italian teams now are disadvantaged...in fact, menawhile in other conutries users widened palace, italian teams bought the best players and now have the smallest palace between the top leagues in the world...so now they lost more and more in comparison to you

Bold statement, but incorect. I've trimmed my salaries down to under 110k in anticipation of the changes. If I were to set my player salaries at 200k per week, I'd be running at a definite loss. If you say you are running on a 200k per week salary expenditure and still manage a profit, then I guess you've just proven my point.

Steve, I don't understand you. Sorry.

A 25Kprofit for the 1st week - not including Cup and B3 income.

And thats with a 'poor' attendance in my 1st home game because of a loss i the 1st game.

It definately seems like loosing a game will not cost you nearly as much as last year.

Last season I had 1 loss and attendance dropped 3000. This season I opened with a loss and attendance was more than 2000 higher than after last seasons only loss.

Spaz do u mean that you can't pay 110k salaries in first division with an arena of 12k???
I can't believe it; post your financial page cause really it's impossible for me to believe what you say. Of course nothing against you personally

I didn't say I'm making profit, but if I don't lose matches and if I will win in cup league, I should earn about 220-240k/week, I pay little bit more now but selling players (it's enough 1 player at 1 million) I can keep my balance "green"

I never said I can't pay 110k worth of salaries.
I said that with salaries at 200k per week, I will run into a loss every week. Which is true.

There was no way to predict the extent of the changes, but many people have come from HT and seen that for the game to have a future, something like this needed to be done. The BBs had to put in place some global economic cutbacks for the game to survive. Simple.

And losing half my income doesn't destroy my plans. Yes, they are dented, but I always plan for the unexpected or have a contingency, so all I had to do was modify my plans a bit. Instead of buying a good SF, I invested in the arena so I could compete in the future. You think real life managers don't do the same thing?

As I said, I'm +$100k this week. If I sell out when my new arena is built, I'll be +$150k per week. You don't think that this is good management if I can still turn over this sort of profit after the economic cutbacks?
