The funniest thing about this post is that I just looked at your transfer page and it says that you have not bought anybody yet.. So why are we talking about this again..It seems like we are all wasting precious seconds off our lives.. peace

You want comparisons I'll give you one.
Let's say you drive through a red light. You get fined by a policeman. You say: "hey comon I did not know you can not drive through red lights". "Well it's written in the law (rules)": policeman says. You answer: "Atleast put a warning sign up that says you can't drive through red light". What kind of answer will you get?
Just a sidenote: confirmation box would be good thing. But it would again harass me while i'm in a bid war. Bidding about 100 times in those last 3-10-15-60 minutes:D That just doubles my clicks.

Fact is, it's written in the rules. Ignorance to the rules is not a reason to complain.

I read the rules before I really got into everything, kept me occupied whilst I was on the train =D

I'm going to be forced into buying somebody today, that's the point Yellow Cake. I can't take it back so it's going to happen no matter what.

The claims that it would screw up the economy of the game don't really fly. I have played other sports sims that use an auction system which allows owners to cancel bids on players and they work just fine. If this game can't do so maybe it's not as great as some people think.

P.S. This still isn't real life Kukoc, it's just a game.

That's it hwy should we add anything more to this thread.

Confirmaiton button is not needed - those who complains now would still complain (at least a vast majority of them) and it would make reaction in those three minutes more difficult which I think would be by far the major impact of any cbidding confirmation button. Evyerybody is free to open a new tab in browsers.

I agree that there could be some problems with a confirmation button and I don't really have the need of one, even though I accidently bid on a player. It was still my fault and therefore I did never complain. I had this idea at the moment I have beeon writing my post an didnt think a lot about it. However I think that there could be solutions without the problem of the delay (e.g. everybody has a button to enable/disable the possibility to bid). In this case you would only have to use this button once if you want to make bids or simply ignore it. But it is again just sth. that came in mind a few seconds ago. ;) I have to "live" with the player I bought anyway and I know at least one manager who is happy about my bid ;)

I don't know if a confirmation button would help that much. My issue has been giving owners some warning and if they don't realize it's a rule or don't remember then adding such a step wouldn't stop people from making bids because they still wouldn't know any better.

"I'm going to be forced into buying somebody today"

No one forced you to do anything, you clicked the bid button, you pay the price. Learn your lesson and read carefully before making a decision next time. There's a rules page and a help forum for a reason. It's hardly the end of the team if you buy a bad player, almost everyone has done it and recovered fine. He can serve as a reminder to read the market before making rash decisions.

By the way, could somebody point out in the rules where it says bids are final? I looked in a few different categories(including the transfer list section) and don't see it mentioned.

I'm being forced when I'm not allowed to change my mind.

It's not a matter of buying a bad player. I bought one that I could afford and he seems to be in the normal skill range for somebody of his price. I would have liked a different position though, or even made an upgrade to my arena to create extra revenue, after thinking about it more. I certainly wouldn't have bid right away if I had known I couldn't take it back.
