Bryce's teams have always been incredibly foul prone and 34 FTs to 8 plus his main man Carvalho fouling out after 36 minutes definitely helped your game.
That and Jang had a shocker.

I played patient with the sole objective of trying to minimise the points difference in the loss I was expecting

The win was quite a nice surprise and has me rethinking whether I should relegate as I was planning to do or whether I should buy a player or 2 and try to roll Urmummas or Donkeys in a relegation series.

Even with their HCA they both look a little bit vulnerable to me

Well, Whompa has a strong team but a little thin in the guards department outside of Walker.

Urmummas team is all about as old as Robert Parish and only has 3 big men on the team. His PF is a little foul prone too so an injury or an early foul out could swing things in your favour.
Personally, i think i'd prefer to take on Urmummas and his Base Offense but it depends how much you want to spend to try and win the series. You'd still have to buy at least another couple of big salary players before friday and hope their gameshape evens out at the weekly update.

Since Whompa and Urmumma are both playing each other this Saturday in the final game of the season to determine who gets 5th and who plays a relegation series, it should be a good match! .....could even be worth the gamble of a Crunch Time

yes could be, decisions decisions.

Who knows maybe i should spend some more money and add to my guards.

A few sill loses this season look likely to hurt my chances of surviving.

Decisions indeed.

The smart thing to do for myself is;

to put my stash into a term deposit,
allow my team to drop down,
terrorise an unsuspecting Div 2 league and bounce straight back with the trophy & million dollars & term deposit in tact,
avoid relegation in season 27 whilst making some acquisitions
and then go for glory in season 28.

That said Donkeys and Urmummas just look so vulnerable at the moment and Im currently watching a couple of players

The whole league shall rejoyce the IMMORTALS have survived. It is like the NBA EAST where wins are easy and a losing record gets you into the playoffs. $50k below the salary floor the entire season & we have 5th locked up. We started $1,000,000 in debt & now have $2,000,000 in credit. Typical Weekly Net Income:$ 302 661. الله أكبر.

As we have discussed before its not hard to work out where you are vulnerable to be kicked and with regards to Urmummas its just a matter of aiming for the walking sticks.

Not a bad financial effort by the Immortals this season, cant all be the work of Allah

I think for the common good the only decent thing is to relegate. You wouldn't want to hurt Whompa everyone loves him and if you kicked Urmummas out of their retirement village that would just be cruel.

hmmm.. whompas versus urmummas would be the game of the week to watch cos if they both go CT, the loser could face an uncertain relegation series against the unpredictable sid vicious.

A mutual TIE would be in their best interest should they both want certainty of another season in the ABBL. But can they trust each other?

But what have to got to lose... if you TIE and lose to CT, you will still have a good chance of beating HA by not hamstringing yourself with a CT.

HCA + above avg enthusiasm is a pretty lethal combo.

Yet I remember a certain Koopasaur doing the exact opposite of what he is now advising and throwing out a late season CT to avoid the relegation zone.
