BTW Neebs I am your competition

Blah blah blah Beasts, blah blah blah Blaze. Everyone seems to think this is a 2 horse race just like last season. Well I hope it is a bit like last season.

As for people saying this isn't a strong competition well just look at Many Men. I think even they would agree that the top 4-6 teams were very even last season with Blaze, Beasts, Hippos, Rangas and Plebs also a chance to win. Now look at them in div2 with a 4-4 record and only PD away from 3rd spot. If we have up to 6 teams that could be mid table in a div2 how does that not make us a deep and strong div3?

I know a lot of the top teams (all but the Beasts?) have sold a few players but I think with the exception of Be High all the top teams are training like crazy. They are also making a lot of money so Dreamers, Rangas etc are probably just waiting for their opportunity.

Demoting teams can be tough, Naker and The Dons will be bad but a lot are easy beats who will just be content to rebuild for a couple of seasons until they are ready for their next push.

As for Be High, I just don't know how big a threat they are to the Blaze. People like to talk them up but last night my backup team + 1 starter took them on at their arena (it was hard to set this knowing the risks) and won by 17. If it was at my arena with my starters it would have been huge.

Maybe didn't make that comment clear Wags, I meant inter-conference.

You and Beasts are both stronger then my team at this point and when you look at the cost of your teams at about 40 or 50k less you are getting some serious value for your coin.. Will still have to see how we we go, I am not going to lie down and let either of you walk over me purely for pride, still will play my strongest side against you both and see how I do compete.

BTW Be High are not a threat, his guys are getting much too old and as you pointed out no training,he will fall out of the top 4 sides of the Red next season or the one after.

Just note that i have not really said much in the discussion but just remember that Beasts totally have a different view point to be the one going around.

Yes, I do feel like i have one of the strongest lineups in the competition, people were saying the exact same thing last season about me and look how that turned out. I have never thought that i am going to have an easy ride to the finals and even there i am not 100% confident.

I mean seriously I put alot of people on close to the same odds as my self.

what can i say, i change my mind alot :D i saw this guy on the TL and thought why the hell not :D He gives me a fair amount of flexibility and means i can compete in the front court now.. If any other bidder had placed 1 more bid, i was prolly out of the running..

i have 2 guys leaving tonite, so had to get a couple of guys to replace them.. the advice i had was spend 450k on a C who was 30+, (great advice to i think BTW..) but i figure the extra 100k for a 23 year old will save me a fair bit down the tracks.. he does need to get 1-2 pops in somewhere, but i am sure i can work it into my training with my SF to get what they need...

i was forced to train JS this week because the ungrateful David Chan fouled out Igor Zakharov in the first game of the week.

however with pops on 4 players i am content

3 JS
1 JR
1 HD

Igor fouled himself out.. not my fault he couldnt handle the Chan :D

I was almost gonna change to ID training to try and get my new man a pop as only my froggie had 48 mins, chan 45 and SF had 35.. but i figured i will stick with it..

Glad i did! Triple pop for the Frog! and chan had 2 including the stam

Really excited about the frog... 4 pops in 2 weeks, hopefully he making up lost ground from when he was on a bot team :D

I had one of those dreadful weeks, zero pops.. :( I was hoping for one but I guess it comes round every now again.. I am a little disappointed though as I haven't had a triple pop in 2 seasons, think I might need to go back to a L5 trainer to get some more benefit.
