He looks like he could be quite handy.

I think you are definitely right, defense first Pressure PG (9,10) this will take you about 8 - 10 weeks (you could also get pops in HA, DR, ID as well) then one on one him (forwards if you can, which you should be able to in Div V) till seasons end.

His passing will do you ok in Div V, you could work on this if you want, or leave it till early next season where it might train faster due to elastic effect since the other skills will be higher and will help it get up to speed, it will also keep salary down if you wait.

He could do with a bit of stamina training as well.

Rebounding obviously needs a lot of training but he could be a great PF or even inside SF depending on how much time your willing to spend on his guard skills.

So that's my draftee. He looks like he could be a great guard for inside tactics but I'm not sure what I want him to become yet so I'd like to have your opinions on it. And also, do you think his rebounding needs fixing or will I just leave it atrocious?

I would just leave the rebounding and make him outside oriented guard (or at least only train outside skills because he already has respectable inside shot). His passing needs to go up immediately though.

He's probably not your main trainee, and I don't think he should be one of them. I'd focus your training around your other guys since this one has too many holes. You could stick him along with RB/1v1 training to gain some pops quickly and then sell him once you're done with that training.

He's pretty much my main trainee, I started the game last season with 2 weeks left and essentially kinda had to just randomly pick, he was a 4/4 balls prospect and was the highest potential guy for me to pick. I'm dumping pretty much everything I have into my arena. I have this guy and a starter center who I'm training to be good backups at least. I feel like this is my opportunity to play around with the training so if I screw it up or the minutes I don't screw up someone valuable. I feel like if I make any mistakes at least I screw up a guy I got for free and didn't spend a million bucks on. But you would start 1v1?

Ah yeah if you're just getting the hang if it he's a good enough player to start with. Basically you can do any training on him since he needs improvement everywhere. If you just started and aren't much stronger than the rest of your league, I'd train his primary skills first so you don't have to play him out of position and be weaker in games. Inside D, Inside scoring and Rebounding are all good things to train, just make sure he gets 48 minutes on the position you train in a week. Once you're getting ahead of your opponents you can start training his secondaries and still be able to win games. When training secondaries, start with 1 on 1 and Jumpshot forwards, since you can still play him at PF which isn't that bad for a C. At the end, if you know you're gonna crush both games in your week anyway, you can train some passing and OD.

Good luck!

The 1st is turning into a nice player. Imo you should train pressure for a fair few weeks to get the OD up to around 12 (sensational). It wouldn't do any harm to go higher than that. Maybe train OD up to 12 and then bring passing in line with it. Many would argue that OD and PA are the two most important skills for a PG or even a SG, so they are lagging behind a bit.

If the first guy is your main focus, bring the 2nd guy along with the training which is tailored to suit player 1 and then reassess at the end of the season. A 1 in rebounding could be seen as quite a big hole though.
