How do teams get "worse" after tanking for a season or three and saving up millions?

There's lots of that that makes no sense.
Say you're in the final and have home advantage
you win at home than lose on the road.
Instead of fans anticipating a championship and flooding the place,
your attendance goes down because you lost your previous game on the road.
Where would that actually happen, EVER?

Absolutely.

One way to tank set a team that you win all your away games and lose your home games. Keeps the fans happy, keeps you out of relegation, keeps you in the cup, keeps you making lots of money.

Well, before he tanked he went to five consecutive NBBA finals(not right before he tanked, like two seasons or something). And now while his team is still very good they aren't on that level.

From what I've seen him post, he doesn't want to be. He didn't want to ruin the NBBA by buying a really good line-up and winning every year. He thought it would ruin the game, so he plays like everyone else, to keep it fun.

Hmm, I don't know if this is true or not, what I do know is he is currently in 5th place and recently sold off his team to tank/train again.

I heard he's gonna be doing some minor farming for the NT, but I don't really know.

You want 48 minutes for a trainee ? Use 9 players in your order.

It doesn't help, and it happens more frequently than I'd like.

Another advice:
Don't blow up your opponent.

I didn't try to...36% FG while playing 2k and 3k players in the starting five. And still I can't secure 48 minutes for my trainee. If that's a will of a BB developer, maybe he should change his will. This game is already too mysterious and random. They don't tell us anything about GE to help us develop players for other tactics than LI. But they expect us to commit ourselves to train players for other tactics without knowing how. So I'll train 5+ seasons and wonder if I'm doing right only to see at the end I'm nowhere near the powerful LI teams? Why should I invest my time into something that not only can not succeed, but can completely fail. This game is really starting to piss me off. At least tell me something I can work with.

End offtopic rant.

Money is pretty worthless when the players you're looking for are not on the market (I had to invest various amounts of training in almost all of my starters to have them fit my needs -- and this takes time).

I can see how this makes sense; it's a good point.

Thing is, if you tank, and fans blindly come to your boring games for season after season, saving up loads of money as a result, you can buy a MASSIVE roster, afford their salaries and win that way.
