Average payroll in D2 is 400kish I think right?

Average among contenders maybe....I think it's even lower than that for the average D2 team.

For whatever reason, I remembered II.4 being around 400k. When I promoted my payroll was a bit over 500k, and I think I was only the 3rd highest in the league. Brian promoted with a payroll over 600k the season before I did.

Maybe that's skewing my memories up from what the rest of the league had. Or it was just two seasons way outside the norm.

You are right, there is just a big drop off after the contenders. Last season I lost in the finals with a 800K payroll, and Ambitious won with a 600K payroll....there was another team approaching 500K, one around 400K, and then it dropped off sharply after that. Seemed like the majority hovered in that 325K to 360K range....and then of course you have USA Elite and their 256K payroll.

I had 280k in one player in D2 haha. But Reston might as well add someone, he's still below the NBBA salary minimum so it costs him nothing extra weekly, and 500k for Villaverde is pretty good

Oooohhh right, I forgot about the salary floor.

I had 280k in one player in D2 haha.

One player had 52% of your payroll in your Finals games. That's so ridiculous.

Too bad everything they have is worse than New York's version... except clam chowder.

And universities.

And hospitals.

Somehow I got completely stomped. Congratz man, always known I need to improve my team drastically, but I haven't been wrecked that bad since Burlington Mountain Goats got possibly the easiest NBBA trophy yet.

Was rather surprised by that result myself, thought you perhaps were gearing up for the cup match...

Very impressive.

I was sure he must have normal'd in order to do against me what he did. His team exploited like all of the possible areas of weakness.

I believe I was averaging (in real games) about 8 turnovers a game. In the Quakers monstrous 3rd quarter I had 7 turnovers alone. He also had 6 o-boards to my 1. Getting out-rebounded isn't unexpected, but the turnovers are pretty surprising. That's generally how I've been able to get by with crappy rebounding.

His center Waterloot, despite being crazy efficient offensively from all over the floor, chipped in 3 steals. The last time he had 3 steals, it was Season 17. In contrast, my own center had 5 turnovers.

I think it's clear that Quakers had a better all around roster last night, and I should probably change some stuff up.
