I ran repechage games from season 28 and from season 30 to compare numbers and substitutions. I ran only first two groups becose of time. I have to say in each season there were weaker teams with tight rosters so World cup datas will be more accurate to compare at the end of season. But this is what i have counted for now:

BLU vs. NO BLANK
games: 24 - 24
players involved: 260 - 239
avg no of players per game: 10,8 - 9,9
players with 40+ mins: 17 - 54
players with 35-40 mins: 43 - 35
players with 30-35 mins: 25 - 13
players with 29 and less: 175 - 138

So in total with current system we play on avg 1 player less than before (as i said with more equal teams i think the number will be pushed).
With current system we have 23% of players playing 40+ minutes. With BLU we had 7%. That is 16% increase (that is about the same as lvl 5 and lvl 7 trainer?).

Possible consequences were described earlier.

There's a point I don't understand in your analyse.

Players with DNP also bring some merchandising to their managers. So if you set 12 players per game, that doesn't change anything, isn't it? Everybody will get some money.

I appreciate the new system. It's really more interesting than BLU. But I also agree that something has to be done with substitutions.

As long as i know there is difference between playing and not playing. I like the new system too. I dont like players playing 40+mins though.

Yup, there's a difference, but players that DNP are also rewarded. A guy had +22k merch after a DNP, and +31k after a game played as sub.

I also agree that players shouldn't play 40+ minutes, but your arguments with merchandising are not convincing, imo.

A quick question: are you saying there is a way to determine how much of the weekly merchandise sales are attributable to each player? Thanks.

You can estimate the amount by calculating the merchandising difference between a week without NT game and one with a NT game.

Merchandising from NT games is a % of the salary.

Ah, okay, NT matters ... to managers at that level. Is there a way to distinguish between $5000 / $10,000 in no-game / game weeks versus, say, $20,000 / $25,000? Either way the difference is $5k. Just curious for the day I am at the upper levels and hob-nob with NT's. Thanks.

The sub pattern with blank/LCD was already in the game. Surely they can implement something similar without the blank.

I wanted to reiterate the point that the BLULTCD for me for a few seasons substituted smartly with players on my team with proficient stamina! (I mean 33 to 38 mins a game! ) This engine had always penalized you got having your players in the best shape possible which takes away from so much realism!

With the sub patterns along with max stamina won me games alone.

BB players IRL are in peak shape and should not be penalized for it.

The BLU addressed this issue just nicely.

High stamina less injuries. ....... mediocre stamina more and longer injuries. IRL if a player constantly plays play past his peak of energy. .. is he more susceptible to injury?
Adjustments need to be made.

From everything I have read, that is a myth about BB.

You can't slice the post you must let the whole post sink in to get the understanding.

But to address what you said about being a myth. ..I was reflecting on RL... yes it is a game but the substitutions with my team with strong to prominent stamina was in the mid 30s for most of the season last.
BLULTCD provided this.

Can we agree that the chance of injury is significantly higher with more mins logged? Again BLU countered this.
