I didn't say a 26 years old is valuable to train, I said I'd train him if it was for my NT
I know that this season an old player from our NT, 25 years old (well last season) or 26, had 3 popups

but I generally wouldn't train past 24

then again, depends on your goals and league and everything

It depends whether you want to create a monster or a MONSTER!!!!!!!

With the players 23-26 likely to be your key starters I would say that giving a couple of them training on secondaries can be useful. I wouldn't add primaries to a 25yo if I could buy a 20yo and he needed the improvement more but an already valuable first team player with just 3 pops a season in Passing (example) could be very beneficial to a team vs. just adding more JS to new yth coming through. Depends also if you are able to train for team improvement or whether you need to train for economic return.

having the whole team young is just a waste of time
and on some levels of competition, you have to have good players, slightly older, that you still train

well i have started loading up on older players. they are cheaper to buy and they add valuable depth to your team. and also all players will have to be replaced at some point so if you can find a great player for your team, you can always sell him later and get most of your money back, after your team has won it title.

This 20 year old not worth training is some bullshit. If it is the case then it needs to be changed frankly a real player stops being trainable at about 25 and then skills decline at around 29.

Some teams do train til 25-26 if the player is good enough. The issue is if you'd like a 25 year old rookie to begin training, or an 18 year old. It is also easiest to train when they are younger (as is often the case irl as well) and so people recommend getting an 18 y/o with decent potential.
