Are you guys for real? I mean you are giving an advice to D.V guy to train his PF's OD and JR? Thats hardly the best way for him to improve his young team. Truth is both OD and JR are nice for a PF but so are DR HN PS. In fact every skill is good for PF. But they are by no means critical and I'd say that you can easily get away with 4 OD 2 JR PF. Imho just train his main skills and give him an occasional JS or DR training. Forget OD and JR. They are more of a luxury rather then necessity.

The original poster should simply re-read this advice.

Aside from training JR from Atrocious... ask yourself what are the chances of this player being with you in 2-3 seasons? I imagine you may train then sell and re-invest in a better trainee? If so, and you feel that your next PF needs to be a bit more versatile, shop about for one with better starting stats that can be improved... truth is you could spend 1 season on OD and JR training for the wrong height player and get 3 pops in total.... during that time you could get his primary skills up by a minimum of 2 each (RB/ID/IS)... whats more important to you and the growth of your team only you know but I would bet the 2nd option by far.

I have a PF guy with 9 jump shot but never hits a jump shot because his jump range is awful. Basically you don't want a really low jump range or he will never hit an outside shot, but if you can get it to 5 or 6 that would be good.

Try giving advice you'd follow yourself.. no way you'd invest the time to take JR from 1-5/6 with this guy.... lets try help the newer players... im not expecting for everyone to agree but come on...

finally someone who is sane

as a new player you never ever train useless slow stuff like some people have suggested you just spend 100% of the time rotating between IS ID and RE - I wouldn't even do much SB. Do that for an entire season and you will have some players who may win you some games. A PF who has like 6 or 7 in IS ID and RE but who was trained for an entire season so they could get their OD and JR up to 4 is the most stupid thing I have ever heard of

you can buy crap players like that off the TL any day for 50k

Yes I agree its not worth taking 1 to 6 but its worth taking 3 to 5 for example.

I completely disagree. 3-5 is a waste too.
