You can definitely win with 7 players.

Possibly you can win in your league, but not in the first div. At least 20M is not enough to make a fantastic team starting with 0 players in the squad.

How many players do you think you need to win, if not 7? And just out of curiousity, why don't you think you could win with 7?

I think he is saying he cant win with 7 is because of GS. With only 7 players they will have to play lots of mins in a week. You COULD win early on in the season but once players get in great GS its gonna be hard.

You can maintain strong gameshape with 7 players if you learn how to do it right and train gameshape each week. And you will have significantly stronger starters because you have higher salary cap because you have less players.

Having just 7 players is effectively stating to your rivals you have no intention of winning or even competing in the cup.

With salaries dropping and 2 of your 9/10 players potentially being quality 50-70k SF's, there is no reason why you can't build a monster 9-10man roster and compete across all fronts.

I've started playing at the end of season 12.
Total Sales: $ 583 800
Total Purchases: $ 2 435 300
Transfer Balance: $ -1 851 500

Not very good...I bought some decent players after I got the promotion bonus, so the total purchases has been getting bigger and bigger since then.

I agree you can't win Cup and the Championship with 7 players, I was just saying that with 7 players you are virtual certainty to win your league if you play things right. And you could still compete in the cup if you are lucky. You simply win 1 of your league games each week and win the cup. Most weeks the cup will be an easy team anyway. It's only the later stages of the cup that are harder to win, and if you have enough league games racked up you could concentrate on the cup games and still make playoffs in the league. Hard to do, but if you set your sights on simply the Cup or the Championship and not both, then I think it is easy to do with 7 players.

7 players and a healthy cash balance I agree.

1 injury leaves the remaining 6 juggling the full 480mins so at best thats a 6x80 split... I know you said train GS but you shouldnt have to do that to win a league and if you are you are losing the opportunity cost of training players...(if you are out of the cup SURELY you'd take the chance to build a quirky valuable player throughout the season)

So although yes you could win with 7 there are in my opinion much better strategies you could employ to keep winning and keep adding value to your franchise.

Definitely a lot of strategies, but I certainly think this is a strategy that a new team that entered div 1 could use to become competitive rather than face relegation with a roster of 10.
