Would you say that it would be a huge advantage for whoever is running the NT to have ABBL experience?

I am asking this because I actually think it is. Whoever is running the NT needs to not only be a master of tactics which you can achieve in division II or ever III, but needs to be familiar with both how amazing multiskilled players and monoskilled beasts operate. That having been said both Iwen and CoachNoodles are getting experience this season and are ABBL teams so I would assume you would endorse both of them as a future NT candidate.

This is just my opinion but I think division II managers like Fanny, RabidCamel, the rest of the Guppies and even I, am great for running an U21 team but lack some experience of the big players that is needed to run the senior team.

Being in the ABBL is probably an advantage, but I reckon to some degree the players we have in the ABBL and those in the NT would differ to a reasonable degree - certaintly for big men where noone in the ABBL has a Radford-esque player for example.

I can see what you're trying to get at yoda and to a certain extent i agree. Certainly there can be great tactical minds in divisions other than the ABBL but you can also get by with just having 1 or 2 major strengths whereas if you've gotten to the ABBL and stayed there it becomes more about having a complete team and using your entire team.

That said, i don't think it's absolutely essential that the NT manager needs to be in the ABBL. As long as you're active on the offsite forum then you can learn the players and makeup of the team. Hopefully the tactics discussions i set each week will start getting some replies and interest as people start to look towards taking over the team.
