Vottem Cowboys (37519)
Last seasons achievement: Failed to defend their title ( for the first time) ending second in the league and being bounced in the conference final against Mizu Basket.
salary: 970 486$ for 15 players
Information: With a top ammount of Belgian talent on the roster ( altho i don't need to introduce em, i'll just do it anyway, so that our new guy's know their names) who are Belgian NT PG Thys, former Belgian NT SG Gilmont, Belgian NT SG Vercaigne and Belgian NT PF Mees, we all know to well that Vottem has top team. Add to that the fact that their is a second PF running around on the floor (a Polish player who listen to the name of Gumulinski) allong with top developping PF talent such as Pupovac, Quanyi and former Englands U21 Marshall (who should be set to have a great futur with the English NT if Vottem keeps training him according to my sources), it is easely to see why Vottem is considered to be Mizu's main challenge for the title in season 20! But will he be able to defeat the current champs? If he can keep this roster together, he should have a good chance at doing so. But considering that he's pulling 970k salary, i wouldn't be surprized to see a couple of players to be sold to lighten the burden of the financial end, unless if Vottem is having a shot at the B3 championship this season...
prognosis Vottem wouldn't have bought that Polish PF last season if he wasn't going to keep him. He should have known that his salary would be this high, and considering the ammount of belgians Vottem has on his team ( which translates in alot of merchandise revenue) he defo starts as the big favorite to become the champion of season 20 (and who knows, he might be able to become the B3 champ this season aswell...)

Estrellas Absurdas (89923)
Last seasons achievement: 7th and PD victory against Pokola in 2 games!
salary: 741 297$ for 19 players
Information: This team is managed by GM-Angi, one of the 2 only female managers in the BBBL! however 19 players on a roster is just to much. Futhermore, it is well known that Angi is replacing her none belgian players with Belgian players, and thus she should be considered as a team in rebuild mode. Each season, things look bad for her, and somehow, she just keeps grinding it out and stays a float in the BBBL. That just goes to show how well she has build her team. Last season, she might have caught a break wby facing Pokola in teh regulation series, but still, she's got a good team to show for which is pretty balanced out. She also always manages to last long in the cup, and so her league results sometimes suffer from it. Altho her starting 5 might not be as impressing as the other BBBL teams, her bench is second to only Vottem ( if Vottem keeps his entire team together that is). Question is, is a good bench enough to make up for the lack of star line-ups which Angi has? Only time will tell.
prognosis Battle for the 6th spot with BBC Falco. I'm going to give Angi the edge because of her experience.

BBC Falco Gent (89651)
Last seasons achievement: promotion from II.1
salary: 552 937$ for 16 players
Information: With former Belgian NT player Lex Francaart leading the team, you have to say that Falco has a completely different squad than he usually has when he comes up to the BBBL. However, considering the age on his top 5 player (30y, 30y, 29y, 29y and 33y) Falco is facing the challenge of having to rejuvinate his roster fast! Because it won't be long before Lex Francaart starts to lose some of his once wonderfull capabilities... Also, Falco is once again the unlucky guy, promoting into the strongest side of the BBBL... he's going to have to be fighting to avoid being regulated thru Play downs, but the good news is that he's certain not to be ending on the last spot...
prognosis 7th spot with Play down series that could go either way.

Seatle SuperSonics (37410)
Last seasons achievement: 4th position and first round exit against Mizu
salary: 747 025$ for 12 players
Information: Last season kinda seemed a bitt of a dissapointment for the SuperSonics... However, knowing that manager Naux is very bussy in RL could be an explanation for their up and down preformances. Let us hope that the Sonics will be able to have a more stable season this time around. They've kept their team intact, which now has an equal ammount of NT players as Vottem Cowboys ( PG Hupez, SG Verelst and PF Beckers). It certainly should be a team to be reckoned with. Add to the mix the army of SF's that Sonics has, and you know that your players are bound to be facing a bad match-up in a lot of games!
prognosis Battling for 3rd place with Les Popotams. Considering the strength and the economical state of both teams, i'm going to give the edge to the Sonics.

Les popotams (37368)
Last seasons achievement: 3rd and first round exit against Vottem
salary: 723 792$ for 15 players
Information: This team is the second team in the BBBL that is managed by another charming lady. She goes by the name of Bibou and has managed to build a pretty solid team. Last season she made the PO's and managed to come in 3rd in the division, but if the Sonics are able to bring a constant effort this season, she should slip into 4th seed this season. Her start players on her team are swedish international Gustav Svensson and backourt duo Svebor BariŔic and Li Pingxian.
prognosis depends on Sonics consistency this season. But if we compare the teams without involving the activety of the managers, then Les Popotams should come in 4th.

Antwerp Angels (37519)
Last seasons achievement: 5th spot
salary: 331 072$ for 12 players
Information: Team in full rebuilding mode, that will likely still add one, maybe 2 18y old players to his roster for training purposes. Aim this season is to get the first draft pick and gather whatever cash can be gathered to rebuild in II and then move back to the BBBL. Revo will be hoping for a decent cup run this season to spice his economical income even more and once the cup is over, Players will most likely be forced to play to many minutes, in order to gain more experience for the futur. However, with the arrival of Marichal, Angels poses a weapon that could help them win a couple of games if needed, especially when it comes down to the cup games...
prognosis 8th spot and direct regulation.

So far for the Great 8 conference. And These are the teams in the Big 8 conference:

Amenra (37305)
Last seasons achievement: 2nd in Big 8, Semi conference exit against Ventola
salary: 721 810$ for 15 players
Information: Ever since comming into the BBBL, Amenra keeps surprizing everyone with their results and their season endings. With a team that includes big talents such as Belgian duo Jean Fradet or Ronald Van Der Haegen and the italian duo Borro and Arcais, Amenra is bound to make alot of noise at the head of the table
prognosis 2nd position, behind Boes.

B. LiĆØge Basket (89663)
Last seasons achievement: 5th spot
salary: 712 124$ for 16 players
Information: It's unclear what Kevin wants to do. He's attempt to sell Hugo Cepeda, David Patoul and Loddo, which are his belgian nucleus players... If he would keep his team together, no doubt that he'll need something extra. but is selling his entire belgian part of the team really the answer?
prognosis If Liege hangs on to his Belgian players, he should be able to secure a PO spot, probably the 3rd seed.

Boes (89649)
Last seasons achievement: 3rd spot, first round exit against Amenra
salary: 829 534$ for 13 players
Information: It's hard to forsee what Boes will be like. Scotty has done a major roster overhaul, which has resulted in the leave of: PG Mugur Pelin, SG Aleandro Camanducaia, C TomÔŔ Chmelar. They were replaced by: PG Jared Wilkinson, SG Luis Túpac Yupanqui ( a peruvian monster SG) and C Zhu Haiguang allong with international Guard Van Sundert of luxembourg ( tho he's most likely only going to be comming off the bench...) However, the rebuilded roster looks really solid and Boes really has an opportunity to go the distance (till the PO finales that is, cause with Powerhouses Vottem Cowboys and Mizu Basket lurking for the title, it's unlikely that Boes will be able to defeat them, unless more players are added to this already impressive team.
prognosis 1rst seed in conference

Obira Dragons (89740)
Last seasons achievement: promotion from II.4
salary: 660 388$ for 16 players
Information: the Dragons are back once again, and they are still deperately trying to incoporate some Belgian talent. They haven't been very succesfull at doing so, however, those who keep trying, will eventually get what they wanted. Obira's starting 5 looks very decent and should be strong enough to compete with the other BBBL teams. Also, Obira has the potential to cause a real upset in Big 8 conference. They'll be fighting for the 5th spot, but might be able to even aim for a PO spot with this roster. With a healthy economy, aswell as waiting for those belgian players to arrive, Obira is bound to be hanging around for a while.
prognosis I'm going to say 6th seed, tho they could end up as high as 3rd in the division aswell. Big 8 is very open for spots 3 through 6, and if anyone has the potential to cause an upset, it's Obira. 3rd to 6th spot will be determined by details, such as GS and keeping players injury free. Should be fun to follow Obira's performance this season.

Royal Canin (90510)
Last seasons achievement: promotion from II.3 (after a very special PO series their)
salary: 471 120$ for 9 players
Information: much to the surprize of many people, Royal Canin beat all odds by promoting instead of Dossers or Bavi Vilvoorde, who were the season 19 favorites in II.3 However, it's pretty clear that the team wasn't ready to play in the BBBL yet, so Bradok is going to try and learn as much as possible this season while saving up alot of cash, so that he can rebuild a solid team to come back into the distant futur. Never the less, congratulations to Rayol Canin. This season should be a good experience for RC, who will know what it takes to play in the BBBL when they go back down to II next season.
prognosis Battle with Radiation to avoid the last spot. Advantage RC considering that Radiation is selling their entire team.

the mumu boys (89926)
Last seasons achievement: 5th
salary: 711 324$ for 16 players
Information: Last season, Mumu had a rought start, but ended up on the 5th spot, just missing out on the PO's due to a loss against the already certain to be relegated Suns. However, before that last game, Mumu had the 3rd seed and was looking BBBL PO bound for the first time in their history. Will they be able to take part in their first BBBL PO's this season? With international Oli Georgiev, allong side with Modesto Gross, they should once again be an inside force to be reckoned with. However, with only 1 strong guard, will their inside be able to make up for their seemingly sloppy outside defense?
prognosis Battling for 4th spot. Might slip to 5th, depending on how Ventola rebuilds his team

The Radiations (37408)
Last seasons achievement: Losing Po finalist against Vottem Cowboys, after finishing second in Big 8 and eliminating Seatle SuperSonics in the conference finals
salary: 474 808$ for 11 players
Information: Just like RC, Radiation is in the BBBL for the first team. However, considering that they are attempting to sell their entire team, it's hard to forsee what their real intensions are. Most likely, they'll be going back to II with a large ammount of cash. Let us just hope that they don't end up with a salary below the salary floor, since that would be a waste of cash. However, their might be a slight chance that they will retool to put up a fight to stay in the BBBL. Consiering how strong Great 8 conference is, they should try and steer clear of the regulations games, which is going to be an incredible hard thing to do. Never the less, congratulations on joining the big boy's and let us hope that you'll learn a lot during your stay.
prognosis battling with RC to avoid direct regulation. Advantage RC since radiation is selling of their entire team.

Ventola (89684)
Last seasons achievement: 1rst spot, vice-champion
salary: 494 613$ for 14 players
Information: It's pretty clear that Jonas is rebuilding his team. He's trying to add Belgian talent to his roster for the longterm plan. However, he'll have to face concurrention from the Angels aswell as Obira, who still are trying to recrute their own belgium player! Anyhow, he has held onto Frank Terrible aswell as De Piano and Manuel IrarrƔzaval so Ventola still remains a team to be reckoned with!
prognosis 5th seed

Their it is guy's. The season 20 preview. I'd like to remind everyone that if you disagree with what i wrote, then prove me wrong with your results. The preview is based upon data at the start of season 20. Economical wealth, injuries, etc are not accounted for when making this preview, so their is a very high chance that i'll be mistaken on a couple of things. But that is what makes the game fun. Because it's unpredictable. It would be pretty boring if we already knew for certain who would be champ before the season started, now wouldn't it? Also, if anyone is offended by whatever is written here, send me a BB-mail with what you consider to be offensif and i'll change it ( or erase that content). please know that it was not my intention to offend any of you. I wish everyone the best of luck during this 20th season of BB, but most importantly, remember this: Whatever happens, keep smilling and enjoy the game. It doesn't matter if you come in first or last, aslong as you are enjoying the game!

Thanks for the summary Revo. i miss it still you left D2.

I just have one or two comments regarding our division... I have already sold all my players so I would say adavantage to Radiations for the 7th spot... And it seems that Ventola is rebuilding its entire team as well so i would say that he would finished 6th.

My Bet :

Amenra Vottem
Boes Mizu
Mumu Seattle
Liege StoneStar
Obira Popotam
Ventola Estrella
Radiation Falco
RC AA

Hey I was the last one not to mention where he lives; it is because I was away for a while and just catcing up with all my games (hattrick, cycling manager, freekick and I started Charazay BB manager !) Not advertising here, because Buzze Beater is still my first love and the best.
And now my place of living : Grimbergen, so I am the only representative of the center of Belgium it seems.
Good luck to all. My start is not overwhelming but I have no ambitions.

I'm disappointed you didn't reply to my message (here: (217639.24)) and you had said you would explain your "test" of our last NT scrimmage. So what have you learned in that famous game, where Ottevaere, Lussu and reyngoudt have played resp. 10, 10 and 2 mins, where Biermans (who is much stronger than these last 3 players) didn't play once again and against a team who played with only 6 players and 4 C in the starting-five (very useful to make a test)? Can you also explain me why Loddo has played and why Fleeton was not used (or maybe the answer of this last question is that Fleeton is not in your team anymore...)?

I try to understand your choices but it's not easy and I think that the last two scrimmages are shameful.

Sorry, didn't get to that. As you all know, i've got other duties on BB aswell, and i'm currently trying to untangle a pretty rough GM case.

As for the test:

*) Biermans didn't play, because he's injured (injured himself on saterday). Though luck their
*) PG's Vercaigne and Reyngoudt confirmed something that we were suspecting all allong, and something which i'll be discussing with Angi ( and Laur3ns) to see if it can be incorporated for guard training in the U21.
*) due to the line up of Eesti ( Playing with 4 C's) the results on SG and SF are not worth alot, so i can't make any conclusions their. However, i'm pretty pleased with the performance of Sammy Backaert. I wasn't expecting his opponent to completely destroy him, considering we were putting up an SF against a C with IS 17 ID 20 RB 17.

The whole goal of the experiment, was to see if i could balance out an attack in patient if i fielded as many rounded players as possible. I was wondering if it might be possible to take a bigger advantange of the mismatches, but considering that Vercaigne shot half of the attempts ( or nearly half of them) it shows that for patient, Mismatches don't seem as important to determine wheither a player will shoot, but what is more important, is the ammount of driving a player has... ( after the competitive season, i'll field up a line up with a max of driving, and see how that pans out.)

As for your question about Fleeton:
I went with Loddo as last guy, because he's a more rounded player than Fleeton. I went with a max or rounded players. Only not rounded player to be around was Biermans, who was left out due to injury. As you should know, when i played scrimmages i didn't always field Fleeton, even when he was with my team.

What i find pretty dissapointing, is that i was online monday the entire afternoon till 6PM, and tuesday during game time, and you didn't pop up for a chat. Kinda shows me you still harbor grudge feelings because of one game. With you calling me out here, just confirms that idea. The more i look at things, the more i'm seeing a manager who's still angry over one game, and theirfor has decided to question every move that i make. Well, if that is what you want to do, then go ahead. Just don't expect me to answer every question right away. I've got other BB duties aswell ( I'm combining LA and GM duties). But i will answer any question you desire, providing that you ain't asking any skillsets of any players.

You might not like the first scrimmage due to the GS shapes, and that was a mistake of mine, i've said it before, and i'll say it again: my bad for that scrimmage.
