a 300k revenue match split in half would result in 150k each.
I seriously don't see how 150k can hurt global economy.
seriously, I think I'm more in this argument for the sake of reality than anything else.
I'm pretty sure Borobia and Alvares Cabral get way better income from the league than from the cup, it's just sad to see a tournament final being weighed as importantly as a regular season match whenever.
moreover, I don't see the use in making a good run in the cup right now. in order to make a good cup run most teams would probably have to sacrifice their league, or at least lose a couple of winnable matches, and by doing so, that team loses audience in the cup as well, and gets very little financial compensation. Left alone the fact that the team will have to deal with the effects on audience of those loses for the rest of the season.
it doesn't look good...
which I think might just be one of the reasons we don't get to see something like 8, 9, 10, really strong teams close to the finals.
